Shigure x Reader

You stared up at the sky fo the Astral Plane. So wide and vast, it must be an infinity up there. A whole new world. A million things that haven't been done. But you would be up their in the sky. Just you wait, just you wait.

You were terrified of heights, but yet the sky intrigued you. It isn't heights you were afraid of, par se, it was falling. If you were to plummet to your death so many people would grieve. You hated to be a burden and that was the ultimate grievance.

As you stared at the pure fluffly clouds a memory of your late mother popped into your head. It was on the He deathbed with her when you were sick with yellow fever. You almost didn't  survive, but Mother's friends were able to save you but not her. Now you were in the army's with a great debt, but the memory kept going in your head.

"The World isn't really in black and white, (Your name)"

"Wh-what? But that's all I see!"

"Once you meet your soulmate and you get him to kiss you, my sweet daughter, the world will erruot in color. Whenever you touch your soulmate, color will sprout into the world. But if you stay away from him for too long you will go mad. After experiencing color it is addictive."

"Mommy, was daddy your soulmate?"

"Yes."

"And he left years ago."

"Yes."

"So have you gone mad?"

"..."

"Mommy?"

"No."

Back then you didn't need know that Shen was lying. She was crazt and she died of sickness. She didn't suicide like many victims my Of color madness, but she stayed strong for you. You sigh at the memory and focused against the sky. The grey sky.

You hear a melody of someone singing a symphony and see a Pegasus. It had to be Shigure. He was your longtime crush since he became one in your army.

"Hey! Shigure!"

You cup your hands around your mouth the make your voices louder and you see his head, tiny due to distance, and he flies his mount towards you and lands next to you.

"Need something, (Your name)?"

You look at the sky again, he never at the boy who held your heart captive.

"Can I join you?"

Shigure smiled And helped you mount his Pegasus behind him. You lifted off and immediately Clung to him in worry of fallign off the horse with wings. You earned a chuckle from the bluenette. Well, at least those who have seemed color claimed for his hair to be a light blue.

"Okay back there?"

"Y-y-Yeah!"

He chuckled again and started a steady pace for soaring, taking you on a magical mystery ride. The sky was beautiful, despite the dull hue scheme. What color was it? That question just randomly popped into your mind and you lost all of your fears of falling. Curiosity of colors plagued your mind. They never bothered you before, but why now? Why when you were with Shigure did you wonder about Color for the first time since your mother's death?

"Would you like me to sing for you?"

"Only if you want to..."

He stiffened at your new tone of voice.

"(Your name)? Something wrong?"

He looked over his shoulder at you. You were still hugging his waist but not as tight. 

"I'm fine, just pondering...."

"About what?"

"What color is the sky?"

He blinked, at least with his hair like that you think it was a blink. He seemed to think about it.

"I don't know. I haven't meet my soulmate yet."

"I see."

He landed in a clearing in a forest of the Astral Plane and he dismounted. He helped you off of the winged beast and you stroked me it's mane. 

"Good girl, thanks."

"(Your name)."

You looked back at the boy and his face seemed a bit darker at some places. Your cheeks grew hot on the dull grey world you lived in.

"Yes, Shigure?"

"What color do you suppose the trees are?"

"Soleil and Ophelia told me they were green. Dwyer And Velouria told me your hair was blue as the sky. Selkie And Kiragi said that color is beautiful and it was hard to describe it. But that's what I've heard..."

He nodded.

"I see. What if... what if we..."

You walked up to the singing boy who captured your eye and affections without your consent. But it was okay. You were in love with Shigure.

"What if we were soulmates?"

"Yeah."

You both leaned in slowly, building suspense for the potential most important moment in your lives. His eye closed and you followed suit when his soft, warm lips collided with yours. You opened one eye...

So many bright colors filled your eye and you almost flinched, but Shigure's lips were too sweet to pull away from. His eye also opened to reveal it to be a shinin yellow/green. His hair was a light blue and the forest was filled with green.

It was beautiful.

Shigure smiled into the kiss causing you to do the same as he deepened it drastically. Your eyes never stoped looking into eachother's beautiful hues and he licked your bottom lip.

Yeah, nope. Not writing that in detail.

He pulled away and a small trial of saliva connected you both. You lost contact and the colors instantly vanished into thin air. You both were gasping.

"Wow."

You both exhale at the same time as Shigure reaches for your hand And the colors all return. 

They were almost as beautiful as him.
