Modern AU 

You look around your class. Everyone was enjoying lunch in the classroom because you had a mother trucking substitute. You ahted this particular sub because if one person was out of line, nobody gets to go to the cafeteria. Yep, high school sucked.

You noticed a game going on in the back corner of the room, the whole class was in a circle watching two people as of they were battling it out in a ring. Being the curious girl you are, you had to sneak in a peek.

You were shocked at what you saw. Gauis, the candy loving freak of the class, was bititng onto what was the little bit left form a stick of Pocky. On the other side and who had the last bite, Maribelle, was losing it. She released the sugary snack leaving Gaius as the winner for not pulling away. He still had three boxes left, each half full. One strawberry, one chocolate, and one cookies and cream. You made a mistake by making  eye contact.

"Hey, (Your name), wanna go?"

He asks with a flirty smile and your face flushed redder that cordelia's hair. The sub was just watching with an eyebrow raised, you sighed. He gestured for you to pick a flavor. You pick your absolute favorite out of the three and he places the end with more of the flavor between his lips. You sorry across form him where Maribelle once was and bite on your end, taking the first move.

Time passed quickly and soon you were at the last bite before a kiss. Heh, he must have thought you were gonna chicken out like every other girl in th class. That was the normal anyways. But you we're a special case. You knew the candy maniac since kindergarten and you also knew about his high confidence. It almost attracted you to him. EHy jot let a close friend steal your first kiss.

You take the last bite.

Your lips collide.

Time stops.

Gasps filled the room. 

You could feel the heat and unexpectedness radiate off of the orange haired boy as he jumped back in surprise. You couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh.

"Guess I won."

"You actually went for it!"

"You're not the only one who freaking loves Pocky."

You stole the box of your favorite flavor and went back to your seat, popping another in your mouth as if it were a handful of skittles. The class just stared at you, but you didn't care. You close your eyes, enjoying the food when you feel a tug at the other end. He had his hand on the other end and staring at you.

"I demand a rematch."

You sigh and stand up, playing it yet again but on your feet. Everyone took out their phones to record. High schoolers and their drama, ecspecially the hyper Lissa and Nowi. Oh well. It started over again.

You got to the center with him having the last bite. His lips met yours again hutnonlymdid you really feel them. They were soft, warm, and sweet. Probably from all the Pocky. You didn't pull away and neither did he. Both of you became purple in the fsce of not wanting to lose so the sub had to split you two apart before one of you fainted.

And that was the story of how you started going out with Gaius.
