Lon'qu x Reader

This is a request from StormRaider101 and she gave me two so here's the first one!

You were sitting around the campfire with the rest of the Shepards. You were still on Regina Ferox and it was the night after the battle against Marth and you won your alliance Andy gotta another valuable ally, Lon'qu.

You could tell almost immediately he was not a man of many words. He also kept his distance from all females, including you. It frustrated Lissa and Miriel was just perplexed. Sumiamdidnt care because she tried to be as close to Chrom as possible. 

Classic Sumia.

Sully was training with Stahl who was complaining becuase he was hungry and wanted to eat and not train. All the rest of the Shepards sat by the fire and enjoyed a nice feast of wild boar. You had the 'honor' of being the person to sit directly left of the seemingly genophobe conversation swordsman.

He did capture your eye and he was a but mysterious. You wanted to learn more about him. Back when you were about to leave you asked Bosillo about Lon'qu. He told you of his genophobia die to an accident a while back and his love for swrodsmanship. Maybe that was how you would get through to him. You look at your own blade, still in its scabbard. Every other Shepard was conversing amoungst themselves

"Oi, Lon'qu."

He flinched and looked at you, as if not expecting to be talked to at all. His chocolates brown eyes were cold and misleading, but Bosillo told you that deep down he did care. He just had a steel outer shell. You have to trust the Wet Kahn on this one.

"What, woman."

He didn't even attempt to say your name, just your gender. You sighed, knowing that it was just another branch he did to have others not know about his genophobia. His voice was cold and sharp, matching the Regina Feroxian weather.

"After we eat, would you care to spar with me?"

His eyes lit up but he just scoffed.

"Only if it is a command."

You weren't Robin or Chrom, but he seemed to think you could give orders right then. Either that  or if you get Chrom to have him spar with you. Bosillo also said he looses all his emotions and thoughts, as well as fears, in battles or life and death situations. Honestly, you don't know how you got all this intel about one soldier from the one Kahn.

"I don't like commanding others, may I see it rather as a request?"

He didn't skip a beat and he looked down at his own meat.

"Request denied."

You pouted using the lower lip and everything, but the silent skillful swordsman just ate his leg of wild boar. You then got an idea.

"How about not I challenge you then."

He looked up, appearing annoyed but his eyes said you have peaked his interest. Score.

"A challenge?"

"To see who is better with the blade."

"The reward for victory?"

You had to think on this, what would Lon'qu want? You had to think back to what Bosillo had said about him. You pondered for a second and then it hit you.

"I give you all my potatoes for a month if you win."

His posture got better and he Just stared into your eyes. Based on the West Kahn's annotations, you didn't even know he could do that!

"And if you win?"

You smirk.

"You'll Justice have to deal with me."

He cocked me his hea din confusion while you giggled. It only confused him a bit more.

"I mean that you would have to help me train and pair up with me in battle."

"Why would you want that?"

"I want to get and know you, of course!"

You could sense the deja vu strong in this one, almost as strong as his pure power he radiated. The force was also strong in this one.

"You're on."

You smiled, for you had won the chance of getting to know your newest ally. He really was a special case, and you wouldn't justness haven to learn it. You already had the upper hand because of Bosillo telling you his tactics a tad alongside with his personality. You both finish your meal before anything though.

But you were giddy with anticipation.
