Leo x Reader

I'm doing one for both, this being Leo's. It I should for a song called moon rises and before you ask, yes, it is a mlp song created by a Brony. Deal with it because the song isn't brilliant and I'm using it! (I'm not a brony, I just like the fanmade music and miniseries Doctor Whooves and assistant.)

You walked into the library of Castle Krakenburg and see the younger prince, Leo, studying with a lone candle at his side. He sighs and stands up, you hide behind a wall and watch him as he stares up at the dark Nohrian sky. He places a hand on the window. He unexpectedly starts to song a short ballad.

Now the hour as come at last, The soft and fading light Has crossed the west horizon And has bidden us goodnight. And what a lovely night it is To walk a moonlit field, To see the softer shades That are by starlight now revealed. 

You try and get a better view of the prince as he continues his song. He doesn't notice you watching him in his most private of moments.

I feel as though like now, when all someone quiet and at rest, when all the world as darkened and at its very best. I am the night, sheltered from those who lock themselves away. Those who shun the moon and wait instead for the glory that is day.

His ballad was beautiful, but you ahd a hard time figuring out what your Prince was saying. Wait, didn't he feel unloved or neglected due to hsi other siblings? No! But, maybe... you had to keep listening.

Am I so wrong to wish that they Would see things like I do? And am I so wrong to think That they might love me too? Why shouldn't they adore me? Is it not within my right? I'll not be overshadowed! Mine is not the lesser light! 

You accidentally gasped, revealing yourself to him. He turns to you woth a face redder than the tomatoes he adores oh so much. He was really feeling this? Did he truely feel he was infirior To the other royals? No. As a servant it was your duty to prove him otherwise. 

He already knew your presence. You look closer and see the tears that stain his cheeks. You rushed up to the Royal and gave him a huge hug aroudn his waist. You sobbed. Why were you sobbing? You we're a mere servant and it wasn't you who was suffering.

Leo was obviously confused by this and he patted your head almost affectionatly. You look deeply into his conflicted chocolate eyes that showed perplexing and hurt. Lots and lots of hurt.

"Lord Leo, you arent....you're not...."

You couldn't fidn the words To day it and He just seemed to break. Like, literally break. He fell to his knees and started to wail. You fall in front of him and hold onto him liek amlther would her crying child. You tried to soothe him and calm him down. But Prince Leo... you never saw this side to your liege and forbidden crush.

"I'm not Xander! I'm not Xander!"

He kept wailing the phrase over and over again, like people expected him to be jsut liek Xander's. You could see exactly where's he was coming from.

"I'm not Xander! I will never bet Xander! Stop saying I have to become him! I'm not Xander!"

You tried to rub circles around his back to try and make the prince back to his normal, composed self. You had never saw this side of him.

"No. No you aren't Lord Xander and you don't have to be. You're you, Lord Leo. That's all everyone wants you to be."

He sniffed and tried to compose himself, but he just ended up sobbing into the sleeve of your maid's uniform. You didn't mind. As long as Lord Leo was okay, you were too. You had to spend the whole night in that Library, for he fell asleep in your lap in the middle of sobbing.

You may have done what Camilla does and kissed his cheek....once. 

Leo...
