It was another boring day in highschool. I sat next to my best friend Brighid and on the other side was my crush but only friend Jonah. We were in social studies and Mr. Anderson was going on and on about medieval Europe. The bell finally rang which meant it was time for lunch.
"I already want to go home and I've had 3 classes!" I complain to Brighid.
"Who cares! It's school so no matter how many classes you have, everyone would rather be at home," She explained.
I walked to lunch with Brighid and sat at our normal table with our other friends. Someone tapped on on the shoulder and when I turned around to see the culprit, I saw it was Jonah.
"What's up?" I ask him.
"Well let's see. The sky, some lights, the ceiling, a lot of things!" He said.
"Well okay then smart ass! But what do you need?"
"Well I need al-" He starts.
"Jonah would you stop being a smart ass!" I protest while giggling.
"Okay fine, and the reason I tapped you is because I wanted to know if you could tutor me after school? I can pay you but you're super smart and I need a good grade or I can't play baseball anymore so..." Jonah explained.
"I don't think I have plans so sure! Oh and you don't need to pay me," I agree.
"Thanks," He says with a smile. He then walked away.
"OOOOOOH!" Your friends gush.
"Oh shut up!" I say with a big smile.
I finished the rest of my day and meet up with Jonah in the parking lot after school.
"So I need to babysit from 8-9 so we have like 5 hours is that okay?" I confirm.
"That's more than enough," He tells me.
I get into the passenger seat of his car while he gets in the driver's seat. The ride isn't long but I still plug the aux cable in and jam out to Camila Cabello. (She probably will be used a lot since I love her ) Me and Jonah sing along and I notice Jonah's amazing voice.
"Wow! You should think about joining choir!" I compliment.
"Really? Well thank you but I think I'll stick to baseball." He tells you.
I shrug in response and listen to some more music. After another song or two, we arrive at his house.
"My sisters are out and my parents are at work so it's just us." He informs me.
"Okay so where do you wanna work?" I question.
"We can study on the couch since my couch is like a cloud," He tells me with a serious look.
I nod and he leds me to the couch. After a while of studying you start to get to know eachother a bit more.
"So you're an only child!" He says a bit jealous.
"Yeah but sometimes it sucks because I get so lonely," I tell him.
"Why don't you just hangout with your friends?" He asks.
"Well Olivia is dating your friend Daniel and they hangout a lot so I don't want to bother that and Brighid is dating Josh and since they don't go to the same school, she always hangs out with him. My other friends have plans all the time and if they don't, they relax and like I said I don't want to bother them so I just usually listen to music!" I explain to him.
"Well you need someone to hangout with like them so why not me?" He suggests.
"You're always out or at baseball and besides I wouldn't want to bother you..." I lie.
"To be honest my friends get annoying quickly and these past what 3 hours have been really fun with you!" Jonah tells you.
"Jonah I don't want to be your charity case," I argue.
"Look to be completely honest I like you...a lot and I get it of you do-"
As soon as I hear that, I cut him off by kissing him.
"I like you too," I tell him.
"Well I know this isn't special but do you want to go out sometime?" Jonah asks.
"I would love that!" I say smiling.
That was the beginning of a loving relationship that would last forever.
