Life hadn't been the best for me lately. More and more friends were disappearing, school was becoming harder and harder, and work was stable but still a burden so when Y/Bff/n invited me to a party, I happily agreed.

I looked in the mirror one last time, checking my outfit and makeup, and was finally off to the party. I walked in and greeted some people before grabbing a drink. I rarely drank but tonight there would be many drinks.

I was on my 5th cup of beer when I looked across the room to see an extremely handsome boy smiling at me. Me, being confident from drinking, decided to walk over to him.

"Hi!" I greeted with a smile.

"Hello," the boy grinned.

"I'm Y/n," I introduced myself.

"I'm Jonah," he sheepishly said.

"That's a very nice name...Jonah hmm..." I drifted off.

"Thanks...So what do you do?"

"I work at a convenience store for now since I go to school, you?

"I'm in a band called Why Don't We. We just started but I don't know, it just seems like they're so much more talented," Jonah randomly confesses.

"Sing me a song."

"What?"

"Come on! I can't judge you if I don't hear it!"

After a bit more convincing, Jonah sings a small tone.

"Well Jonah, I think that your band is lucky to have you. You sound absolutely amazing and your voice is like heaven," I compliment, making him blush.

"Thank you /n, wanna dance?" Jonah asks.

I put my drink down and nod. Jonah leads us to the dance floor where we make a fool of ourselves before taking a break.

"That was really fun! We should-" I start before running to the bathroom.

I collapse in front of the toilet before letting starting to vomit. Jonah comes and holds my hair back as I continue to release food. Lucky for me, I finished quickly. I wiped my mouth and and smiled at Jonah over my shoulder.

He helped me up and held a very tipsy me. I happily embraced him and he pulled me close.

"Wanna Uber home with me?" I question him.

"I think you should get some rest," Jonah laughed.

"But, I will help you get home. You seem very...well drunk," Jonah smiles.

Jonah helps me gather my things as well as get home considering I passed out within the first two minutes of the ride.

8 years later:

"Goodmorning baby," I hear Jonah.

My eyes flutter open to see him holding a tray full of breakfast.

"Good Morning," I smile.

"Here, sit up. I got you some breakfast," Jonah told me.

I happily complied and propped myself up on pillows. Jonah set the tray table over my stomach and I looked down at the mouth watering food.

"Thank you love," I tell him.

"No you go in first!" I hear my daughter order her twin brother.

"Come say bye to mommy!" Jonah interrupts the argument.

Both of the twins run into my room and give me big hugs and saying goodbye before Jonah takes them to school. He soon comes back and joins me on our bed.

"So Zach called today," Joanh says.

"What's he say?" I simply ask.

"He's getting married," Jonah smiles.

"Awh!I'm so happy for them!" I gush.

"Yeah but it got me thinking. about us, and our marriage. I thought about it all and how happy I was and am. I remembered when we met and how I knew I loved you then and you never know, 'cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go, but I know I needed you and I never showed but I knew I  wanted stay with you until we're grey and old. And now I thank my lucky stars for that night. And you looked as beautiful as ever and I swear that everyday it  gets better. You make me feel this way somehow! I'm so in love with you and I hope you know, darling your love is more than worth its weight in gold. We've come so far my dear, look how we've grown! I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old."

At this point. tears were streaming down my face. Jonah brought his hand up and wiped my tears away.

"I wanna live with you, even when we're ghosts 'cause you were always there for me when I needed you most. I'm gonna love you till, my lungs give out and I promise till death we part like in our vows," Jonah added.

"I truly don't deserve you Jonah. Only you could ever make me this happy and I'm the one who is so grateful that I met you. I love you so so much Jonah," I say through more tears.

"I love you more darling," Jonah grinned.
