I was Jonah's little sister and thats pretty much what I was known for. It kind of sucked but at the same time I didn't mind. Lots of people respected me because if him. The downside was his friends. Daniel in particular. I had a crush on Danny for awhile now and it only got worse when I moved in with them when I graduated high school.
The boys were swimming but I just watched from the kitchen table. I didn't feel like swimming and having fun because Daniel was there and I would have to keep hiding my feelings. I stared at my coffee mug and tapped my fingers on it.
The back door slid open and my head snapped up. My eyes met with vibrant blue ones, Danny's. He sat across the table from me and smiled, showing his gap.
"How come your not swimming?" Daniel questions.
"I didn't feel like it," I simply state.
"Why?" Danile pressed.
"I don't feel like- you know what nevermind."
"No what's wrong Y/n?"
"I just don't feel good," I lie.
"Your not a very good liar. You always bite your cheek when you do, it's an easy giveaway."
"Look Danny I don't want to fake my feelings okay?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I like...someone in the group and I don't want to have to pretend I don't anymore," I confess.
"Who is it?" Daniel, almost scaredly, asks.
"You," I say after a short silence.
"I know. I've known for awhile actually. I thought it changed after you started pushing me away. I like you too Y/n. I like your smile, your laugh, how you play with your fingers when your nervous, how you brush your fingers through your hair when you are getting upset, and how you wake up early to watch the sunrise, but my favorite of all, I like how you dance around at 2 am to our songs."
"I don't know what to say exactly. You always make me smile Danny!"
"I've heard you hate dates and fancy restaurants so would you like to eat McDonalds in my car with me?"
"I wouldn't dream of saying no."
That was all 7 months ago. Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend afew weeks later. We were very happy but, nobody knew about us. They just thought we were best friends. Jonah started to get suspicious though but he believed the lies.
Me and Daniel laid in his bed cuddling. I was 'staying at a friend's' which means hanging out with Daniel in his room. Jack, his roommate, was sleeping in Jonah's room since 'Danny didn't feel good and didn't want to get Jack sick' .
Daniel smiled down at me and we got lost in each other's eyes until we heard footsteps approaching the door. Danny sprung up and locked the door.
"That was close," I whisper.
Daniel comes and sits next to me on the bed.
"Can't we just tell them?" Danny pleads.
"Daniel we've been over this. Jonah told me when I first came here to not be with any of you because if something happened the band would be in trouble. Not to mention I don't know if the fans like me and I just don't want more people swarming me when I go out to do something. Danny I love you so much but-" I start to explain.
"No I get it it's fine. You don't want to go public, it's whatever," Danny cuts me off.
"No it's not whatever because now you're hurt."
"Why shouldn't I be Y/n? We love each other and that's all that matters. I want to be able to show everyone the girl I love. I want to be able to tell people that your all mine. I want to be able to not lie to my best friends, my supportive fans, and family over and over again. This is ridiculous. You know Jonah would be happy and you know fans already love you so why can't we tell everyone that we're together. It's been 7 months, and I don't know if I can keep hiding this."
"I get it but I'm just scared-"
"It's doesn't matter anymore. I don't care it's fine."
Daniel goes to the bathroom while I sit on the bed. I didn't like seeing him upset so I decided to suck it up. I walked out if the bedroom and luckily all 4 boys were in the hallway.
"Y/n? What are you doing here? You said you were at a friend's house," Jonah says.
"Yeah well I lied. Actually I've been lying for 7 months now. So here goes. Me and Daniel are dating. We have been for like I said 7 months. I don't care if you don't approve because I love him and he loves me so I couldn't care less," I confess.
"I told you to not date any if the boys and now-" Jonah starts.
"What I went behind you back? Yeah I did because I knew how you felt but now you know how I feel. If you want me to moved back to Minnesota I will. Don't think that will break me and Danny apart because it won't. In fact it will make me and him mad at you," I finnish.
"You didn't let me finnish. Yes I told you not to date any of the boys but now you did. I've seen a change in you for awhile now, I guess 7 months. You've been so happy and if he's why your happy, then go for it and I'll be your number one supporter okay?" Jonah says while walking towards me.
I nod and give him a big hug. We break apart and I hear Daniels bedroom door open.
"I told them," I say.
"Really!" Danny exclaims while walking to me.
He bear hugs me and whispers thank yous in my ear.
"Okay look, I may be supportive but this is as far as PDA goes. I want no kissing at all. And you, Seavey better keep what's in your pants, in your pants, not touch where your not supposed to, and most of all not hurt her because I will murder you okay?" Jonah states.
"Um yeah," Daniel nervously accepts.
"Yeah the four of us will beat you down giraffe neck," Zach teases.
"Oh I'm so scared if a little baby," Daniel shoots back.
Zach lunges at Daniel so I quickly move out if the way. The boys wrestle for while so the rest of us go downstairs and eat junk food.
15 minutes later:
"Are they still wrestling?" I question Jack.
"I'm going to snap your giraffe neck!" Zach exclaims.
"Yup," Jack responds.
