Me and Lily have been staying at my brother's, Jonah, house for the past two weeks. Corbyn hasn't tried to contact me in any way. It made me angry that he didn't try to be in her life. Jonah offered his house to us until I get back on my feet. I accepted, assuming me and Corbyn wouldn't work out. Today I had to go get some things I left at the house.
"Lily I'm leaving and I'll be back in a little bit. Uncle Jonah is gonna watch you so be good!" I tell her.
"Okay momma I love you," She says.
I give her a hug and a kiss before leaving. I drive back to the house that I had built my family in. I finally gain enough strength to go inside. I open the door and see everything like it was before. I knew Corbyn was here since his car was. I went up to the room, where I assumed Corbyn was, and and opened the door slowly. There I saw Corbyn crying but he quickly stopped and turned to the door.
"Y/n..." He said.
I could hear the sadness in is voice.
"Corbyn I just came to get some things," I tell him.
"Wait, please can we talk," Corbyn pleads.
I sit at the end of the bed and he sits up.
"I can't function without you and Lily."
"I would love to believe that but you haven't called me to even see us or talk!"
"Yes I did! I called you every night and Jonah always answered and said you would talk to me later."
"Jonah never told me that."
"Look through your call logs."
I look through them and see that it was true. Every night he's called me.
"Why didn't you come over?" I ask him.
"I thought that you told Jonah to make up a lie so I just decided to leave you alone and give you what I thought you wanted," He explains.
"Y/n I am so sorry. Amanda isn't important to me. I don't know why I even paid attention to her and I promise you that we did nothing! We are only friends. I want you and Lily to come back home. Please!" Corbyn begs.
"Corbyn I think that we should work this out before we come back. I don't want Lily here if we fight. You can see her and I will come over but until everything is worked out, I think I'll stay with Jonah," I compromise.
"As long as I can see both of you, I'll be okay."
"I did miss you Corbyn."
"You have no idea!" He exclaims.
"Now go clean yourself up and I'll go get Lily. We'll have a family day," I tell him.
He smiles and rushes to the bathroom. It felt good to know that one of the best parts of my life was back.
