I leaned on the back of the couch and listened to my friends blabber as I looked across the room at Jonah. He was talking to his friends and laughing about something Jack said.
"Y/n!" I hear one of my friends yell.
I snap my head around and look at my smiling friends.
"What?" I dumbly ask.
"We aren't blind! Go talk to him," Y/bsf say.
"I-I can't," I stumble.
"And why is that?" Y/bsf asks.
"He's him and I'm me."
"If he can't see how baller you are, he's not the guy for you. Now go!" Y/bsf told me before pushing me towards him.
I walked towards a smiling Jonah very slowly. Jonah looked over at me and his smile widened. He walked away from his friends and towards me.
"Hey Y/n, I'm happy you came," Jonah greets me.
"I'm happy I came too," I tell him, returning the smile.
"Do you wanna go somewhere a little quieter? Like outfront?"Jonah suggests.
"Um sure," I accept.
Jonah grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him to outfront of their house. We sat on the steps and just smiled at each other. I leaned my head on his shoulder and smiled.
"When can we tell them?" I ask Jonah.
"Soon baby girl," Jonah said.
"That's what you said last week," I say slightly agitated while picking my head up from his shoulder.
"Yes, I know that but then things came up and the boys weren't in the greatest mood so I didn't want to and then-"
"No Jonah, why don't you want to tell them? All I want to do is tell your best friends that we are dating. I want to tell my friends that I don't have a crush on you but that we've been dating for the past 4 months. I want to be able to post pictures and go out in public but I can't because you haven't told the people that are like your brothers because god only knows why Jonah!" I argue with him.
Jonah seemed shocked by my words but I wasn't feeling sympathetic. I left him on the steps and went back to the living room and grabbed my things before leaving...well trying to. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard Jonah's voice on a mic.
"Excuse me, may I have your attention please," I hear Jonah say on the microphone.
I turned to see Jonah on the tiny platform with a microphone that was originally set up for karaoke later.
"For the past 4 months I have been dating the most beautiful girl on the planet. I've kept this a secret because I was not able to find the right time to tell my four best friends but I do not want to make excuses. Instead of waiting anymore I would like to introduce you all to my girlfriend," Jonah announced before pointing me out of the crowd.
I slowly but surely walked over to him. Once I got there Jonah helped me onto the platform. My friends were astonished and the boys were too. Everyone clapped and cheered as I blushed madly. Jonah came over and hugged me.
"How's that for announcing?" He whispers in my ear.
