I walked into the new school that I would be walking into for another year. Since my family decided to move to Minnesota for my mom's job, I had to either stay with my dad or move with her and my stepdad. Since me and my mom are alot closer, I moved with her. I loved my stepdad too. The only bad thing about this move was new school, new friends, new house. I left alot behind but it was going to be okay. I would meet great kids and continue to do amazing.
I walked down the hallway to my new locker. I remembered the number and combination from the email I got. I was in Mr.Jone's homeroom and I had locker number 248. I eventually made it there and opened my locker. I unpacked everything and left out a pencil, binder, notebook, and a calculator.
"I don't believe I've ever seen you before," I heard from my right.
I match the voice to a very tall and handsome boy.
"I'm new this year, my name's Y/n" I introduce.
"I'm Jonah, the captain of the baseball team and the choirs lead," he brags.
"Brag much?" I comment.
"Sorry I probably sound like a cocky asshole. I'm usually known for that stuff so- I realize I still sound rude. Ok restart, I'm Jonah," He rambles.
I lightly chuckle and bend down to grab my things.
"Well Jonah I have to get to homeroom so I'll see you later?" I ask.
"Who do you have?"
"Mr.Jones in E-10."
"I have him too, can I walk with you?"
"Considering I have no idea where it is, yes."
Jonah smiles and I wait for him to get his things. We make small talk as we venture through the halls looking for room E-10. I tell him about the move and he tells me about the school. I can tell he's popular by the way all the girls stare at him and all of the boys nod or high five him as we pass.
"Looks like we're here," I notice.
"Wanna sit next to me?" Jonah asks.
"Sure," I accept.
We sit down towards the back and talk until the teacher comes in. He goes on and on about the rules and his life.

It was now lunch time, my favorite time of the day. My mom dropped off McDonalds for me so I grabbed the bag with my name on it on the walk to the cafeteria. Jonah walked with me and escorted me to every class. We got to know each other throughout the day. He seemed like a nice guy who could be my friend.
He offers me a spot at his table so I accepted since I have no friends. I sat down and he sits next to me. Eventually other kids made their way over and sat at his table. I didn't mind and hoped to befriend then as well.
"So how is you first day so far?" Jack, I think, asks.
"Pretty good. I would be lost if Jonah didn't help me so it could be worse," I answer.
"Jonah-bear your so sweet!" One of the girls exclaims.
"Ew, what is that name?" Jonah questions.
"Oh is that your girlfriend? She's very pretty," I compliment.
All the guys laugh while Jonah cringes.
"Sarah is definitely not my girlfriend. She's just a girl that insists on sitting with me," Jonah quickly says.
I nod and laugh at his comment.

It's been about three months since I was the new girl. I am the captain of the softball team and the girl lead in choir. Me and Jonah are best friends and hopefully soon to be a little more than that. We've gonna on 4 dates and we prettyuch act like a couple. Sarah hates me but I don't mind her comments.
I am currently sitting at my regular lunch table with Jonah and the boys except Jonah left and hasn't been back for awhile. I ignore it and talk to Jack who had basically become my older brother. Our conversation gets interrupted by Jonah who is standing on a table int he middle of the room with a mega phone.
"Excuse me, excuse me, may I have your attention please?" He shouts
Everyone quiets down.
"So for the past few months me and this amazing girl has become my best friend and so much more. That girl is Y/n Y/ln. I hope I don't strike out but will you be my girlfriend? Because dating you would be a home run."
Jack hands me two softballs. One with a no on it and the other with a yes. I throw the yes on at Jonah who catches. He reads it and jumps off the table and runs over to me. He picks me up and spins me around.
" I would kiss you but teachers are watching," he whispers.
I chuckle and squeeze him tight. This boy is better than any home run I've ever gotten.

So I couldn't come up with a cute pun with their baseball and softball backgrounds but I tried. I might change it if I think of a better one. Anyways, thank you as always for all the votes and comments❤ I read every one and they always make me laugh. So thanks and love you all💕
