"WELL YOU CAN'T EVEN COME HOME ON TIME!" My mom yelled at dad.
It was so typical for them to fight anymore. LIfe was so good but then my sister started getting in the wrong crowd which made our parents stress which led to arguments. It started over nothing and then it turned into something big. Usually I'd just tune them out but I couldn't help it anymore so I marched downstairs.
"DO YOU EVEN CARE THAT I'M RIGHT UPSTAIRS ?!?!" I yell.
They both look at me with sympathetic looks.
"We're sorry baby," Mom finally says after a long pause.
"Why?" I wonder aloud.
"It's just *sigh* sometimes we take our problems out on each other that's all," Dad answers.
"I can't deal with this all summer..." I admit.
"Why don't you go to a friend's house? I have $200 you can have and you can go anywhere you want! Me and your mom will get through this and once everything is fixed, you can come home okay?" Dad suggets.
"We know it won't fix anything but you can at least have fun!" Mom adds.
"Okay I guess..." I say.
I go to your room and pack some clothes in a suitcase then text my best friend Daniel. His parents loved me so they agreed to letting me stay for a while. Mom drove me there and hugged me tightly before going back home. I knocked on his door and once he opened, he gave me a bear hug.
"Let's go to my room and talk," Danny suggests.
Once we're upstairs with our stuff, I sit on his bed an dhe mock my action, sitting next to me.
"What happened?" He asked.
"They just constantly fight and I can't take it over the summer," I tell him.
"Well my mom said that you can stay the whole summer if you want so get ready for staying up late!" He exclaims making me smile.
Two Weeks Later:
Well my future was looking like it was going to be bright. My parents were going to therapy and when I saw them, they were happier than they've even been. I was still staying with Danny but I'd visit my parents often.
Today me, Daniel, Anna's friend sydney, and his family were going to the beach. We were sharing a room which made me happier than it should. I've kind of grown a lot of feelings for him which can be hard to deal with but I manage
"I think I am finally packed!" I tell Daniel.
"How? You've been packing since Wednesday and it's Friday, were only going for a week!" He exclaims surprised.
"Look I gotta be stylin'," I tell him with a big smile.
He rolls his eyes and brings my heavy suitcase to the car. After a two hour drive, we arrive at the beach. Me and Daniel went straight to the ocean since we already had our bathing suits on. We got in and began to swim out farther. Once we got far away from shore Daniel looked me in the eyes.
"Y/n I know I should probably wait but I really can't act anymore! I like you...a lot more than friends," He confesses.
"Daniel I-I"
"Look Y/n I get it and it's fine but I just needed to tell you" He says looking sad.
"No it's not that! I like you too" I say while walking closer to him.
"Well then would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks with a big grin.
"I'd love to!" I say while wrapping my arms around his neck.
