WATER FOUNTAIN

She told me that she loved me by the water fountain
She told me that she loved me and she didn't love him

Y/N had confessed her feelings to Dick, at a water fountain in the park. The two had been best friends for four years, and they both had feelings for each other but never said anything about it. They were walking in the park for almost an hour, when Dick had brought up a topic about a relationship.

His and Barbara's relationship.

The girl froze completely and just started at the water fountain in front of her. "Y/N are you okay" he asked her worried, because of her sudden stop.

After a couple of moments she replied "Dick can I tell you something?" she asked, still staring at the water fountain "Yeah, anything." He told her, still worried. She took a deep breath and said...

"I know you have a girlfriend but I'm still gonna say this" she pauses for a second, before saying "I know this might ruin our friendship but, I've liked you for a very long time and I hurts to see you and Barbara together, but I didn't say anything about because I'm happy that your happy and I respect your relationship with her and it's okay if you don't feel the same way about me." she turned to look at the boy who just looked at her in shock.

She sighed and started to walk off. Dick tried to call for her back she was already gone.

Yeah that was really, yeah it was innocent
But now she's got a cup with something else in it

You were at Wayne Manor because you were invited by Jason - your other best friend - to a charity event, because he said he didn't wanna go, but avoid Dick like the plague, for you feel embarrassed and rejected, but you knew you shouldn't, he had a girlfriend.

You had a little to much to drink and so did Jason, he got more confident when he got drunk and so did you. So Jason decided to confess his love for you and you, being your drunk self, said that you loved him. This was true, you just loved Dick a little bit more.

It's getting kinda blurry at a quarter past ten
And he was in a hurry to be touching her skin
Now he's grabbing her hips and pulling her in
And kissing her lips and whispering in
Her ear and she knows that she shouldn't listen
And that she should be with me, by the water fountain

Little did you know that Dick was watching you from afar. Watching Jason grab your hips, pulling you in, kissing your lips and whispering in your ear and you weren't holding back on any of it. It made him angry and sad.

But you couldn't help but think about Dick, but tonight you had feelings for Jason and only him. You didn't wanna think about Dick, so you let Jason do what he was doing and say that you loved him. He eased your pain, your mind. Unlike Dick, you felt like you could tell Jason anything, maybe that's why you liked him so much.

She couldn't be at home in the night because
It made her feel alone and at that time she was too young...
I was too young

Jason would be with you all the time, helping you through you break downs and panic attacks, cheering you up and making you feel better. He was your medicine man. Being the shoulder you'd cry on, putting up wit your bullshit, buying you whatever when you didn't even ask for it and over all taking care of you. It made you feel loved.

Dick couldn't help but think about what you said at the park, he truly did love you, but he had Barbara. She was like his medicine but not like how Jason was to you, she just eased the pain and took his mind off things. He wanted you and love you but never said it.

And if she ever goes back to the water fountain
The handle will be broke and the rust set in
But my hand it will be open and I'll try to fix it
My heart it will be open and I'll try to give it

He caught himself walking down the same path by the same water fountain with the same memory playing back in his head. He could only imagine how it'd go if he'd said something. He'd me grabbing your hips and pulling you in and kissing your lips and whispering in your ear, telling you sweet nothings.

Now I'm grabbing her hips and pulling her in
And kissing her lips and whispering in
Her ear but I know that it's only a wish
And that's she's not standing by the water fountain.

But of course, that was just his fantasy he wished to make a reality. He lost you to his brother.

But seriously I love Alec Benjamin's songs. I'm listening to them right now, as I type this. He's songs are good they make me cry. ANYWAYS I really like Dick and Jason (especially) and 'Water fountain' is a good song to write about a love triangle or square if you count Barbara. And I'm sorry for that lazy excuse for a preference on Halloween :l.
