The rest of the day passed by uneventfully, and soon it was an hour before the concert. Currently Luke, Ashton, Cody, Austin, Josh, Harry, Michael, and Calum were sitting in a small room backstage, while Colin and the others were waiting outside for the venue to officially open. “I’ve got a good feeling about tonight’s show,” Ashton said, tying his green bandana around his head. “I know I say that all of the time, but I really mean it. This show’s going to be awesome.”
“Of course,” Josh smiled. “As long as Nathan doesn’t show up, that is.”
Luke sighed. “Can we please just not mention that name right now? I’m in a good mood, but I won’t be for long if we keep mentioning him.”
Josh nodded. “Sure thing. So, we go to Denver next, right?”
“Yeah,” Harry replied, glancing at a sheet of paper on his lap. “I’m really excited. Too many bad things have happened here in Seattle.”
“Yes they have,” Michael agreed. “Way, way too many bad things.”
They sat in silence until Austin stood up and grabbed his microphone. “Well,” he said, looking at his watch. “I’ve got to be onstage in exactly four minutes, so I’ll talk to you guys after I’m done.” He waved once, turned around, and disappeared out into the hallway.
“I’m glad he joined us on tour,” Harry commented once the door had closed behind him. “Same goes for you, Cody.”
Cody smiled and ran a hand through his blonde hair. “Thanks. We’re really enjoying it so far, with the exception of a few bad events that have happened.”
“A few bad events?” Calum laughed. “I’d say we’ve had more than just a few bad events happen to us, and I don’t think they’re going to stop happening anytime soon.”

It was an hour after the show was over and Michael, Luke, Ashton, Calum, Colin, Christian, Dimitri, Cody, Austin, and Tom were in a large tour bus following behind Josh, Harry, and the rest of One Direction in their bus.
“Tonight’s show was fun,” Luke said, sitting down beside Michael. “and thankfully we were able to get through it without Nathan showing up.”
Tom started laughing. “That’s a miracle in itself.” His smile faded as he looked over at Ashton, who hadn’t said much since they had left the arena. “Are you okay?”
Instead of replying, Ashton stood up and walked over to Colin. “Who was that guy sitting beside you at the show earlier?”
“I think he said his name was Hunter Hayes. Why? Do you know him or something?” Colin replied.
Ashton shook his head. “No, but I’d like to. Was he there by himself?”
“He was with his friend Jackson, but they got into an argument halfway through the concert and he left. I think he was jealous because Hunter couldn’t stop staring at you the whole time you were onstage.” Colin said.
Ashton looked at him in disbelief. “He was staring at me? Are you serious?”
Colin nodded. “He even gave me his number and told me to give it to you.” He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Ashton, who immediately stood up and grabbed his phone. “I’ll go call him right now.”
