Lexi's POV

I stood in the doorway as Devin went upstairs and Jc stormed off without saying a word.

"Sam..." I sighed. She put on her shirt that was on the counter.

"What?" She asked

"What's been going on with you lately?" I asked. First she was with Shawn and then they took a break and then she was with Grayson and then she kisses Jc but now she's with Shawn...

"I don't know..." She said, looking away. I knew she had something on her mind. I know her too well.

"We have less than a week left until the month is up. Four days." I said, my voice cracking at the end.

"I know that I have a limited time left okay?! I don't even know where my assignment is and there's no way I can find him and kill him in four days! I've been with all the guys because I'm just trying to distract myself because I know there's nothing I can do! " She yelled, sighing and walking out the patio door.

"That's not the answer I was looking for Sam..." I muttered as I walked upstairs. I went into my room to find Devin laying on my bed on my laptop.

"Come here, come here, come here." He said excitedly.

"Ok." I laughed. I sat down next to him and a photo of an apartment appeared on the screen. Devin clicked through the pictures.

"What do you think of this one?" He asked after he'd showed me all the pictures.

"I really like it." I smiled.

"It's a couple hours from here, and it's not that expensive. And it has a spare bedroom so we could have people over." He explained.

"Let's get it." I nodded.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"We don't really have another option do we?" I asked.

"I mean, we could stay." He said.

"... I'll be back. Just wait a minute." I said, getting up and quickly leaving the room. I walked downstairs and to the kitchen, not seeing who I was looking for, but finding Nash, Taylor, the other Tayler, and Ricky. They were deep in conversation and I didn't want to disrupt them. I continued and went into the hallway off the kitchen and saw all the bedroom doors open and no one in them. I went back out of the hall and towards the descending stairs, taking them two at a time down, holding onto the railing so I wouldn't fall. I heard lots of voices in the room that I'd found that one day Sam and I were alone and swore to myself I wouldn't mention it. I pushed open the door to find at least a dozen bodies filling the room. Matthew, the closest standing to the door, looked at me when I came in.

"Hey, uh, I don't know if you should be in here." He said.

"Lexi, you need to go." Ethan said, his tough guy mask on, and if you were to see him on the street, you wouldn't want to mess with him.

I spotted the boy I'd wanted to talk to. And I saw Sam standing by Shawn. We made eye contact and we didn't exchange any expressions.

"Why is she in here?" I asked, pointing to Sam.

"Because... this regards her, not you." Carter said not looking up, watching a screen and typing something on the keyboard it was attached with.

"But-" I started to say.

"Shouldn't she be with Devin right now anyways?" Sam said to Shawn, purposely loud enough for me to hear.

"Sam, stop." Shawn said.

"I just need to talk to Cameron." I said, cutting everyone off. Cameron said something to Carter and followed me as I walked out of the room. I went and sat on the bottom stair and Cameron sat beside me.

"Devin and I are looking at apartments." I said bluntly.

"That's great." He smiled. The thing I admired about Cam is that he's always so supportive, no matter what it's about.

"Yeah..." I smiled.

"But what about you guys?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Will you guys be here for a while still?" I asked. He sighed.

"Hopefully." He nodded, and I knew exactly what he meant.

"I don't wanna just leave you guys, and as messed up as it sounds this is basically Stockholm syndrome, but not in a romantic way, like a friendship way... you guys are my friends, more like family." I whispered, shaking my head in disbelief at myself.

"You guys are still on the list." I said, my stomach dropping.

"I know, and if something happens I promise I'll call you and if we have to go somewhere else then I'll tell you the address. As long as we're here, we'll be here for you Lexi." He smiled a little. He took my hand and squeezed it.

"I promise." He said. We stood up and I wrapped my arms tightly around him, as he held me tighter.

"Thank you Cam." I said, my head resting against his chest.

"You're welcome." He said. "Now go get that apartment."

We let go of each other and I smiled, walking upstairs as he went back to the room. I went up the second flight of stairs to Sam and I's room, seeing Devin scrolling through something on the laptop.

"I put an offer in." He said.

"Okay." I smiled. I sat down on the bed and picked up my phone, seeing I had a new text.

I let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding. I put my hand over my mouth and showed Devin the text.

"Baby..." He said, taking my hand.

"Devin...we need to tell Sam." I said, my voice cracking.
