Before I continue my tale, let me just say this. Never ever let people know where you live. If you do, they might become psychotic and stand in front of your house, telling your parents about a date you allegedly had with them.
Take for an instance, a crazy human being is at my front door right now. Chase Dwayne, I repeat Chase Dwayne is at my front door, in a clean casual outfit vomiting certain words from his mouth that are aimed at causing war between my parents and myself, words that are aimed at giving my parents the impression that we are going out together on a date as boyfriend and girlfriend.
I just needed to clear that up in case you didn't understand what just happened.
Don't worry, even my brain is still having little problems trying to register what is actually going on.
What's worse is that he is already all buddy buddy with Mason. Talk about a nightmare.
"Oh Darling, you are surely looking for the wrong Rita, my daughter doesn't have a boyfriend especially one that pops up out of the blues and appears at her front door." My mother said, gesturing to Chase up and down.
"Oh wait!! Your the dude that dropped my daughter off on Tuesday. She clearly denied knowing you. Wrong house boy." She folded her arms and lifted her chin up.
You see. She jumped straight outta Disney. Whose mom is also really embarrassing?
"Yes, you heard my wife. You are at the wrong house. Have a good day." My dad concurred. Just as my dad was about to shut the door, Chase placed his foot in the door way.
"Move your feet or I'll move it for you." My father spoke in his 'deep fatherly voice'.
"No no sir. This is Rita's home. I dropped her off earlier this week like you said plus she gave me the address herself to make sure I didn't miss my way. I still don't know why she keeps denying me. Even when I invited her to my house on Tuesday and introduced her to my mom, she did the same thing. I didn't mean to barge in on your family. I would never have come here if she didn't ask me to." He finished his bunch of lies with a sad face and the puppy dog look.
Ah the nerve!!
My mom gave me the we-have-to-talk look. My dad gave me the you-are-finished! look.
"Awww, look at his sad face. Do come in and have a sit young man. We would like to know you better. I hope you like apple pie." My mum said cheerily, oblivious to the death glares my dad gave her. If looks could kill.
"Thank you ma'am." Chase beamed. His plan was working.
All these while I'd been silent.
Doing what you may ask? Still processing what was going on and considering the chances that this might be a really bad dream but when I pinched my self, the pain I got told me otherwise."Oh don't be silly, call me Marrissa, you're Rita's friend, so you're family now." She said happily.
*cue face palm*
"Mason, go to your room. Rita and you, take a seat." My dad ordered us and we quickly obeyed.
My mum returned to the kitchen.
"Rita, when your mother and I spoke to you about this, you clearly said that you didn't know each other and it was just a rehearsal issue and other gibberish. I want you to know I'm disappointed in you for lying to us." He paused.
"Dad I wasn't lying. He is the lying human." I pointed at Chase and defended my reputation.
"He wouldn't be bold enough to come to our house and lie to our faces. We will speak about this later." He dismissed our conversation and turned towards Chase.
