Dear new favourite book,
I think its weird that I already feel a connection with you, you being an inanimate object and all, but that’s okay, I guess. So mum went to the store and came back with you today and I’m like, ‘okay, so that happened’. No offence, but diaries are so 2011. Everyone has Vlogs now and they share their life and secrets with the world, you know? But I’m too scared to do that. There is no way I’m doing a story time telling a bunch of random people on the internet how embarrassed I was when I slept off in class and woke up in the hallway and saliva was rolling out of my slightly opened mouth! But that’s just me. The only reason I’m going to write my daily experiences and feelings in this book is for the same reason Greg from diary of a wimpy kid started his own diary. When I become that badass Lawyer working with the UN, have my awesome fashion house, start my fabulously fabulous accessories and cosmetics line, own my food chain, become a world class motivational speaker and even be invited to speak on CNN’s Leading women, they would love a good background story, ‘How I rose to Fame’. This book will make it easier for them to see how I struggled as a teenager, how I overcame my fears and doubts and how I breezed through life basically. As much as I would love to have such a compelling back story, like how I came from a poor family with nothing and all that motivational stuff, I can’t because my parents are doing just fine. So I’ll have to work with what I have.

Anyway, school is resuming on Monday and I will officially be a Junior!!! How exciting is that? I already have my outfit planned out, first impressions eh? I’ll join Mary because I don’t own a car yet. I might make new friends and I might finally get a boyfriend this year. Arghhhh!! I am so excited already! Wish me luck in advance! OMGGGG!!!! you will not believe what happened today! The Stevenson Stuart looked in my direction! Like, he looked at me, our eyeballs met, and he smiled! He actually smiled at me. My entire body system is over excited! Maybe, this year will be my year after all! Since forever, Steven had been my crush. Mary says that I could possibly win an award for worlds longest crush and I agree. Steven is great at everything. He sings, he plays the guitar, he is super smart, he is the best track athlete our school has, he is super fineee, like ‘amazingly handsome to die for’ plus he is a gentleman! Please what else do you need? Did I mention that he already has admissions to the best universities? I mean the guy is that good, everyone wants him. God has finally smiled on me! Me, Plain Rita Jones, girlfriend of Steven Stuart? YASSSSSS! School was fine too. I’m going to try out for the cheer-leading team on Friday too. Maybe if I get in, Steve will definitely want me to be his girlfriend. I will be smack in the middle of the coolest people on earth and maybe Emily Rivers might become my friend too. If that happens, oh man, I’ll be so happy, I might even die of joy. See you when something amazing happens in my life, which is turning out really well if you ask me.

Let me tell you now, in case you didn’t know, God answers prayers!!!!! So, last week Friday, I made the squad, as if that wasn’t enough, Steve became my lab partner because our Chemistry teacher was feeling spicy and decided to change our partners. It didn’t even end there she felt extra spicy on Monday when she ordered that our new lab partners will become our permanent lab partners. I almost screamed for joy in that lab, if care wasn’t taken, I could have done my awesome cringe worthy victory dance too. Long story short, Steve asked if I would join him on Saturday to volunteer at the animal care center he volunteers for. It was their pet adoption day and they needed a lot of hands. Did I say yes? OF COURSE!!! so, he picked me up in his clean convertible and he even brought me a T-shirt with the care center’s logo on it. I was super excited, as always. We arrived early and washed the animals, decorated them with beautiful bows and we fed them. It was so adorable to see Steve take care of the dogs and cats in such a loving manner. This boy is a keeper!!!!!! the best part is that, we closed early and he offered for us to go get an early dinner. Since it was in between lunch and dinner, I called it ‘Lunner’. I know, my lame side kicked in before I could stop myself and I embarrassed myself on our mini first date. He actually laughed and even asked if we could ‘see each other again.’ Did I say yes? OF COURSE!! He said he would pick me up on Friday next week and that I should wear something comfortable. He also said that he was looking forward to Monday. You see, everything is working together for my good. Maybe writing down what you want makes it more real and so God really understands how badly you want it and then he gives it to you. Having said that, expect all my hopes, dreams and thoughts to be written down inside of you, since everything I have written down here has come to pass so far.
