"Delphine, you have to stop acting this way. If you continue, you'll end up being the mean girl here. The fact that Brittney behaves rudely doesn't mean we have to do the same to her. You of all people know that as Christians, we act in love not bitterness or showing that we can be way worse than they are. It doesn't lead anywhere except fights and more fights. I don't want to be in the middle of any kind of drama this year. Settle whatever score you have with the crazy lady and let's forget about this." I exhaled, releasing a breathe I didn't know I was holding.
Yeah, I didn't do a lot of speeches.
"Woah Rita, you should become a preacher of the word someday." Silly David clapped his hands and gave us his award winning smile.
"I think Rita is right. Not meaning to point fingers or anything, but you have to stop proving to Brittney that you can be worse than her. We know she hates that and you pushed her to her very limits. I mean she has a squad now. She can spread rumours faster, plan things better and all. You should cool off." Jess tried to reason with Delphine.
"God! You guys are so annoying right now. Do you know how you sound? You sound like because of the way I acted, all hell will break loose and the freaking world war three will begin. Its just a mentally deranged high school girl. I get it, we are believers but that doesn't mean we should be trampled upon." Delphine snapped. She then massaged her temples with her fingers. Maybe she was soothing a headache. I mean who wouldn't be having a headache right now. Its not like we just got threatened.
"I get your point. All I am asking is that you chill out till she strikes. If you do anything now before she does, it'll just be stupid. Just chill." I tried to convince her against her current plan to pull some stupid prank on Brittney.
The whole thing was childishly stupid. What's worse is that it was definitely not helping the invisible plan at all!!!
Nothing that happened recently was helping my previously full proof invisible plan.
"Yeah, chill. Like the ice cream. Get it? Chill because the ice cream is chill." David tried to crack a joke hoping to erase some level of tension.
We all face palmed and gave him the death glare. Saying
"Not now David" in unison.
He just rolled his eyes and continued taking his ice cream
Yup we were back at sweet tooth. We'd been here for the past hour debating what to do and what not to do concerning our threat. I still thought it would be wiser to leave it alone and be nicer to Brittney. Maybe She'd change her mind.
Jess thought we should act like she didn't exist. No nice, no rude just silent.
Delphine thought we should strike before she does but I was guessing she'd be expecting it plus I don't want a high school drama like it was in the movies.
David thought we should wait for her to strike before we made our move.
Silently inside me I was hoping and praying that this was all just a really bad dream and that I'd wake up tomorrow and go back to my normal invisible life. But no, life decided to just be funny. I mean it just decided to be funny.
"Look, I know I can't help this situation, but believe me when I say that we'll get through it." Delphine took my hand and squeezed it, trying to reassure me. I sure hope she was right and that this wasn't going to be like when your parents told you it'd be okay when you realized that your goldfish is dead. Meanwhile, they are assuring you it'd be okay in the future, when you realize owning a dead goldfish is not worth all your tears and anger. You understand the theory now huh?
