"Good morning class. There are two new students that just transferred. I'd love you to give them your uttermost attention as they introduce themselves." Mr Newly announced.
I raised my head from the beautiful gown I'd been sketching and gave my full attention to Mr Newly.
A boy and girl with light brown hair and very full brown eyes walked in. Where have I heard that description before? Oh the twins Jess spoke about. They did not look French at all. The girl had waist length straight hair. Now that's just beautiful. All the guys were gawking at her and all the girls are swooning at the boy.
"So you two tell the class your name and a little about yourself." Mr Newly ordered.
The boy stepped forward, beaming at us and oh boy what a smile that was.
"My name is David D'or and a little about myself."
His twin sister smacked the back of his head.
"Ow what did you do that for?" David yelped and used his right hand to rub his sore head.
"I don't know let me see.. Oh yeah, you were being your usual stupid self. My bad." She rolled her eyes and her face was covered in a scowl. Then she turned to look at the class, her scowl metamorphosed into a charming smile.
"My name is Delphine D'or and this is my twin brother David. We're and I love black." She shrugged.
Okay, I think I might like this girl.
I noticed that their accent wasn't very thick. You'd only notice it on some words. They probably spent a lot of time outside France then.
"Thank you very much Delphine. Ummm..." Mr Newly's eyes roamed around the class, seeking for whom he would devour. Then the worst thing happened. Yup. They landed on me.
"...Rita you will be in charge of the twins. Help them get to their classes and stay with them during lunch."
And to say that I was looking forward to Monday.
"Okay Sir." I looked at the twins carefully. They were both sporting black jeans and a white shirt. Only that Delphine had accessories and deep red lipstick on with her smokey eye. Other than that, they did look identical. They both had the same spark of mischief in their eyes.
To make this day better, I was situated right in the middle of two empty chairs. So you know what that means.
The twins made their way to the chairs which I was sandwiched in between. Oh yeah, you already knew that. David on my right, Delphine on my left.
I wanted to grip my hair and scream 'Why me??' Okay, if I was going to get through this, I'd have to be myself. Let's see how that goes.
"Hey, I am Rita. Welcome to AP English. I hope you don't get bored out of your brains." I gave the girl twin a small smile, one she returned.
"I am Delphine. You can call me Didi, I'll just call you RiRi By the way is that a friendship bracelet? That is so cool. Nice meeting you RiRi."
I glanced down at the bracelet on my wrist. It was a gift from Jess when we were little. I smiled at the thought and looked back at Delphine.
"I can see that this will be the start of a beautiful friendship." I give her my best smile.
Then someone tapped my shoulder and I turn to see who the person was. Yes, it is David.
"Hey princess." He gave me what I think was supposed to be a flirtatious smirk but it wasn't turning out well.
I turned and looked around.
