This is Rita's POV now. I think I should stick with her for now.
************************************I woke up to an awkward calm. My head was pounding seriously. I managed to open my eyes. Everywhere was white. Plain boring white. This was not my room for sure.
I tried to sit up but my aching head wouldn't let me. The door of the room was open. I saw a doctor walk pass with a nurse by his side. So I was in a hospital. What happened?
I tried to remember what happened. My head just kept hurting me.
"Ow!!" I rubbed my head and finally sat up. I was really hungry. I noticed the blonde haired boy sitting on the chair beside me. He was using his phone so I guess he didn't realize that I was awake.
"Who are you?" I asked scrunching my nose up in confusion.
He looked up at me and his phone fell on the floor. I'm guessing he was very surprised.
"Rita? You're awake." He smiled, picking up his phone and walked to the bed, sitting at the foot of the bed.
"Nope, I'm talking in my sleep." I rolled my eyes then I winced in pain. "Of course I'm awake. Who are you?" I repeated and raised an eyebrow at him.
"Its me. Chase. Remember?" He pointed to himself and a sad look crossed his face.
"Who in the world names a boy Chase? That's by the way. What am I doing here? Please, don't tell me I got in an accident." I rubbed my forehead and relaxed into my bed. Chase got up and returned to the chair.
"I can't believe you don't remember me." He frowned.
I just couldn't hold back my laughter anymore. I bursted out in laughter but I immediately regretted my decision. It affected my head ache.
"Ow!" I exclaimed and held my head again.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked in concern. "I should get the doctors to know that you're awake." He got up and left the room
Boy, was that boy stupid?
Of course I remembered him perfectly. It was very hard to forget a Chase Dwayne. I studied my room. My huge teddy bear and some cards sat on top a table at one corner of the room. Some cheesy human even sent me flowers too. I was tempted to roll my eyes but I decided against it.
A doctor and Chase entered the room.
"Miss Jones. I'm glad that you're awake. How do you feel?" He asked and brought out his pen and notepad.
"I feel perfectly normal although my head hurts. I can't laugh properly and I cannot even roll my eyes." I admitted.
"Its perfectly normal. You suffered a trauma and you passed out. Your friends brought you here yesterday evening. You have been out since then till now." The doctor calmly explained.
"Is she supposed to have a memory loss? She doesn't remember me." Chase's question clearly took the doctor by surprise.
"I'm pretty sure..." The doctor began to explain but I quickly interrupted.
"Oh don't mind him. Dwayne always had a faulty brain. Of course I remembered him perfectly." I smiled, looking at Chase.
He raised his head slightly and narrowed his eyes at me.
"Okay then. I'm going to leave you two for a while. I'll be back to check your vitals and determine if you'll be going home today or not." The doctor gave me a curt nod and walked out of the room.
"You think that was funny right?" He folded his arms and looked at me.
"It sure was. Your facial expression was hilarious. You were so sad. I almost felt bad for you." I smiled.
