The regular annoying beep from my alarm clock told me that I had fallen asleep. I sat up on my bed and thought about what I'd do with the rest of my day then I remembered that I was meant to meet up with some people who had offered me free food. I could not say no to that!

I took the fastest shower ever. After wrapping my self in my towel, I came into my room. My phone beeped twice. I opened it and saw one unread message.

My Prince👑: Outside your front door. Don't keep me waiting!

Me: Be right there.

I quickly changed his name from "my prince" to 'Dave🤔'. I practically jumped into my clothes, throwing on my underwear, a long sleeved white round neck, a black jean shorts that had suspenders and the first sneaker I saw.
I grabbed my purse, threw in my phone, house key and my wallet.

I flew down the staircase. No need to be judgemental. Its free food!

I met my mom watching 'I am Frankie' when I came downstairs. Let me repeat what I said in case you didn't understand. I saw my mother watching I am Frankie. She wasn't even with Mason. Meaning that she willingly wanted to watch it.

"Momma, I'm going out to meet some friends. I'll be home soon."

"I hope you're not meeting with that Chase boy and his friends because as far as I know you've only been here for a week and you already have friends? I don't want history to repeat itself!"

"Mum its okay. Nothing is going to happen again. Lighting doesn't strike the same place twice. And no its not Chase and his friends."

"You're right. Lighting doesn't strike the same place twice but I tell you, sometimes nature doesn't care about human sayings." She shrugged and took a handful of chips and threw them into her mouth.

"Its okay mum. I'm fine, promise." I pecked her and began to leave.

"Have fun dear but come back before your curfew." She unfailingly repeated.

"I will. I love you. Bye."

And once again, her eyes were glued back to the TV.

When I stepped out, I noticed a tinted black car across the street. This car was black! All black. Even the metal in the middle of the tires that were usually silver was black. It was actually sleek. I took out my phone, called David and asked him where he was.

"Inside the car you're practically drooling over. Get in."

I crossed the street and stepped into the back seat of the car.

"So Rita, what if I was an abductor?"

"That's easy. Slam your head to the steering wheel repeatedly and then proceed to slam it on the window, break the window and scream really loud alerting the neighbours and eventually come down and cross back into my house but the neighbours would be out by then." I finished my explanation with a shrug.

His eyes nearly popped out of its socket.

"Okay, I didn't expect that, at all."

"Let's go already. Do you happen to have a USB I could use to charge my phone?"

"Yeah I do. Give to me."

I handed my phone to him to charge. And after two seconds, it started ringing. Before I could reach it. It stopped.

"You changed my name to Dave? With a thinking emoji? Why?"

Oh. So he called to see his name on my screen. Talk about awkward.
