I had this weird feeling that these people were following me on purpose. I mean, I was in New Verniy and they were there too. I just returned home and it so happened that they just returned home too. Any way, I was not happy at all to see their faces. Immediately they walked in, my heart skipped a beat. You know, how your heart misses a beat when your crush texts you? Something like that, but more serious.
Before Chase could land a blow on David's perfect face, Jayden was already in between them, trying to separate the boys.
"Chill out Dwayne. We are just here to see Rita. We don't want any trouble." David raised his two arms in surrender and stepped back.
Brittney was fuming. She was literally red with rage. No surprise there as she already hated Delphine and David from the beginning. She got up and walked towards the twins.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the fake French girl and her fake French twin. Wow, turns out I was the hero and you two were the villains after all." Brittney sneered and shoved Delphine, an action that Delphine replicated.
Turns out Jayden was able to stop them from fighting too.
In a flash, everyone started talking. I couldn't get everything that they said but I was very sure that they were insulting each other."Can all of you just stop! We are in a hospital for crying out loud!" I announced in a loud voice.
They paused and turned to look at me.
"How are we not sure that you came here to know Rita's condition, and then report back to your useless gang?" Chase folded his arms and raised an eyebrow.
"Or they probably came to finish the job and were surprised to see us here." Brittney continued.
"You guys, just give it a rest. David and Delphine, just leave okay? To avoid any more trouble just go." Jayden advised the twins.
"Before we go, just know this. I know that what we did was wrong and we are really sorry about it. We are in no way affiliated with the gang. We really just came to check up on you. Rita, I hope you can forgive us. We wish things didn't have to be this way. We honestly enjoyed your friendship, which is why we did what we did at St. Landia. I personally couldn't handle the thought of all those things happening to you." Delphine explained.
I didn't look at her. If I did, she'd think I was interested in what she had to say and she'd continue talking. I did not want that, I wanted her to leave immediately.
"Nice story, really touching. Exit is this way. Bye." Chase directed them out of the room. As he opened the door, my parents walked in.
On seeing them, the twins hurriedly walked out of the room, muttering their greeting.
"Good riddance" Chase began,
"To bad nonsense." Brittney finished. They gave each other high fives.Jayden just shook his head at them and smiled.
"Time to go dear." My dad tapped my shoulder.
"Thank you so much for keeping Rita company. We'll drop you off on our way home. Send our gratitude to your parents." My mom announced with a big smile. She wasn't the only one happy about this new development. I couldn't wait to be home too. To lie in my soft pink bed and stare at my glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.
"Before we go, can I just see Tyler? We are already here in the hospital and I wouldn't want to leave without seeing him." I spoke to my dad and hoped he would agree.
Smiling down at me, he nodded. I hopped down from my bed and wore my fluffy bunny slippers.
"What room is he in?" I asked the guys.
