The ark was quiet when we arrived there. A tad bit too quiet, to say the very least. The place we had once known to be overcrowded with people, and over-guarded with members of Pike's army was practically a ghost town.
After getting into the main building safely, it was decided that for the sake of all of our lives, we needed to get everything we needed and leave as quickly as we could, before anyone who was chipped could reach us. This resulted in Octavia and Jasper heading off into Lincoln's old room in search for his diary which we would need to find Luna, whilst Monty, Bellamy and Clarke scoped the area to ensure we truly were alone in Arcadia.
I was helping Sinclair in the engineering room with Raven who, ever since we managed extract the chip from, barely even spoke to me let alone looked me in the eye. At first I thought it would just take a little while before she would break the ice, but as the hours passed, I couldn't take the silence any longer.
"Raven, would you please just talk to me," I plead, dropping the items I had in my hands abruptly onto the table, causing her to jump. "Talk to me. Look at me. Any form of communication. I seriously do not care, just so long as I get my best friend back."
"How... How can you still want to be near me?" Raven asks after staying silent for a while after I spoke. She places the screwdriver that was in her hand slowly onto the metal table before finally looking up at me. "What I said to you was horrible. I was horrible. How... How can you stand the mere sight of me after hearing what I had to say?"
"Rave," I sigh, looking up to the ceiling and wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "I say this with the utmost amount of kindness and admiration, but for a world-class engineer-mechanic, or whatever the hell you call yourself, you are an absolute idiot. I've known you my whole life, so if you think you're ever gonna get rid of me, you've got another thing coming."
"But, I-"
"It wasn't you," I say, cutting her off from finishing her sentence. "It was a chip that you took when you were vulnerable and in a lot of pain. That was what said all of those horrible things to me. Not you, okay, because as far as I'm concerned Raven Reyes is the greatest most badass woman I know,"
"Y/n-"
"Oh, come on, you are not about to make a pregnant girl beg you to be her friend again." With that, Raven offers me a weak but warm smile, before hugging me for brief moment, before pulling away with the largest grin I had ever seen her pull.
"So..." she says abruptly, grinning mischievously from ear to ear. "You and Bellamy... You two are a thing now?"
I hesitate to answer her sudden question because that hadn't been a topic he and I had discussed yet. Yes, he did say he would be here for me and our unborn child, and yes he did tell me that he wanted it to be me. However, up until the moment we finally got Raven back, we hadn't talked about what our relationship was, because how could we when we literally had to fight a war at the same time.
Just as I was about to mutter an answer, I heard a familiar voice coming from the radio on the opposite side of the table. I reach over to grab and recognize the voice as Bellamy's, which would normally put me at ease, however, he sounded anything but calm when I picked the radio up.
"Y/n? Y/n, where are you, are you okay?"
"Bell," I respond, trying to remain calm in the hope that it has the same effect on Bellamy. "I'm with Raven and Sinclair in the engineering room. We're all okay, what's wrong? Is everything okay?"
"Emerson's here," Clarke answers, which resulted in an instant wave of anxiety to rush through both Raven and I.
"Wait," I whisper, too dumbfounded to fully process what all of this meant. "You mean Mount Weather Emerson?"
