I sighed from relief once I had reached my favorite place- little clearing with small pond. I had found this place like two weeks ago and since then I had been coming here to wash myself and relax.
I needed to escape from all stuff going on in the camp and I was pretty drained from helping Clarke with wounded, because of my knowledge about medical care, on one side and from helping with hunting and building the camp on the other.
Sometimes I felt like I had been the only one paying attention on Earth skills lessons, because I had to remind the delinquents about the basic stuff, like how to set up a fire or tie a rope all the time.
So I was always looking forward to having some time just for myself. Today for example, I had been taking care of bunch of stupid kids who decided to eat some strange berries without knowing what it was and it hadn't ended up well.
Fortunately, no one had died and they had already been getting better, so I had snuck out of the camp after they had gotten stabilized, only telling Octavia about it not wanting to leave without anyone knowing I was gone.
I knew she wouldn't tell anybody, because she owed me for covering her every time she had snuck out to see the grounder and she couldn't risk me revealing it to Bellamy.
He would be really mad at her and I knew he would be probably mad at me as well for my sneaking. He was pretty protective of me, but I had no idea why.
I mean, we had become pretty close friends and a lot of people said it often looked like we were even more, because sometimes he acted like that, but I knew he didn't want to start any serious relationship with me, otherwise he wouldn't sleep around.
I, on the other side, was pretty aware of my feelings for him. Firstly, I had tried to supress them, but then I had realized it's impossible so I had found a way to live with it hoping it would fade away.
I was pulled back to the reality by loud sound echoing in the air. I looked up at the sky and sighed when I saw it was covered with storm clouds.
This day couldn't get any worse. I decided that I wouldn't risk it with staying there a little longer. I stood up and started walking towards the camp knowing I had to hurry to not get caught in a storm.
I tried to be as silent as I could, because I didn't want to draw any attention of the grounders.
I was really tired and I was hoping to get back to the camp as fast as I could without getting caught in the rain, but once I felt the raindrops falling down I realized I wouldn't escape without getting wet.
I wasn't totally concentrated on the path so when I heard someone behind me I got scared and without turning to see who it was, because I assumed it was a grounder.
I started to sprint away from them not paying any attention to the slippery terrain which led me to trip over some fallen branches lying on the ground and fall down the hill hitting my head on a rock.
I had fallen unconscious for few moments, before regaining my senses, but my vision was still blurry and I felt really dizzy. I heard heavy footsteps and I tried to crawl away, but I gave up once I realized it was hopeless.
I turned my attention towards the person trying to focus on them. It was pretty hard because it was pulling me back into the unconsciousness, but the pain in my ankle helped me stay awake.
"Oh my god," the person sighed and I did the same, because I had immediately recognized that voice as Bellamy's.
He crouched next to me and pulled me into his arms. I tried to say something, but I couldn't let out a word. We stayed silent for a moment and I started to slowly drift away.
