You had always been a bit flirtatious, but you couldn't say that you regretted it, even if it was how you ended up on this god forsaken planet. You hadn't really known any better, your mother was promiscuous, and your father had never been in the picture. However, when you told the captain of the guard "no" after he showed at your door one night, you were promptly thrown in your jail cell, even if you were underage.
However, there was on person that made Earth a bit more bearable. Bellamy Blake was usually the suave leader that always had a plan, but he was a blushy mess whenever he was around you. At first, you thought that it had been a fluke. Maybe it was extra hot out that day, or he was getting a cold. There was no way that you were the one making Bellamy blush.
It usually went something like this. You would be helping Clarke out in the medical tent. Even if your mother was a flirt, she was a damn good nurse. He would come in to check on supplies, and you would give him your list, calling him handsome, or one of your personal favorites, darling. He would grumble something that you couldn't totally hear, and make his way out of the tent, eyes on the ground.
After a few times, you kept pushing him a bit farther every time that you saw him. You would get in his personal space, look up at him through your eyelashes, anything you could think of that would make him bashful. Even though it may sound rude, at first it was just a game to you. You wanted to see how worked up you could get him, discover the darkest shade of red that his face could turn.
Something that you didn't plan on though, was to find him completely and utterly endearing. You thought that they way he would stumble through his words around you was the cutest thing you had ever witnessed, and the tomato-y color of his cheeks to be entirely flattering. However, you didn't want to let yourself fall for him. He was a flirt with all of the other girls, and you had caught them many of them leaving his tent in the early hours of the morning, and that was something that scared you. Even if you were a bit of a flirt, you weren't in the business of getting your heart broken.
Little did you know that you were about to push Bellamy past his breaking point. He was too afraid to admit it to himself, but he was falling for you. If you had known about his true feelings, you never would have approached him during one of the bonfires.
You had seen him from across the clearing and the way that the fire light flickered in his eyes made your stomach do a weird sort of flip. You didn't like it, but you couldn't push it down. Instead, you chose to embrace it, making your way over to the log he was sitting on.
Even though it was a rather long log, you sat right next to Bellamy, your thighs brushing pressing against his in a not unpleasant way. "Hello, darling," you sighed softly, a small smile gracing your lips.
You couldn't help but hear his sharp intake of breath and the way that his eyes quickly flicked towards you and then back to the ground at you feet. "H-hey Y/N," he said quietly. It was so noisy and he was speaking so softly you almost couldn't hear him. In fact, if you hadn't rested your head on his shoulder you were sure that you would have missed what he said entirely. Although he felt a bit tense underneath you, he made no move to pull away, so you instead elected to wind your arms around his bicep, pulling yourself even closer to him.
The two of you sat in silence for a while. You honestly couldn't even take comfort in the fact that it was a comfortable silence, because, at least on your end, you felt a very distinct sense of longing passing between the two of you, although you couldn't say for sure if the feeling was mutual.
"Bellamy?" you asked, leaning farther into his side.
"What, no nickname?" he chuckled. It was the first time that he had any semblance of the swagger that he had in front of the rest of the group.
You sat up, drawing back into yourself as you crossed your arms against your chest, suddenly a bit unsure of yourself for what might have been the first time in your life. You and Bellamy had developed a certain kind of rhythm to the way that you talked and him being suave was definitely not something that happened. A part of that made you feel unsure, but not in a bad way.
You looked into his eyes for a few moments, before you felt his hand slide behind your head, his thumb stroking the base of your neck, leaving little tingles in it's wake. You couldn't explain it, but one second you were two separate beings and the next, you couldn't completely tell where he stopped and you began. His hands tangled in your hair while he placed his lips on top of yours.
At first he moved slowly, making sure that you were comfortable before progressing the kiss much farther. Thankfully, he seemed to get the message as you arched toward him, lacing your fingers behind his head as you pulled him closer.
You weren't sure how long the two of you sat there on that log together, too wrapped up in each other to care that you were surrounded by people. All you could think about was the fact that Bellamy Blake was kissing you. You thought about how he made you smile, how he always made sure that everyone else in the camp was okay before he was, and... then you thought about all of the girls that you saw coming out of his tent, day after day and you slowly pulled away.
"Bellamy," you began, taking in the confused expression on his face. "I know that I am a bit of a flirt, but I don't want this," you said, gesturing between the two of you, "To just be some meaningless fling to you." I-"
"Hey," he said, lifting your chin up so that you would look him in the eyes. "I think that we both have a bit of a reputation, but I can tell you that this, is real."
You were at a loss for words, something that didn't happen often. All you could do was nod, processing what had just come out of his mouth. He wanted to be with you. He liked you. In fact, he might like you a bit more than the average person. Scratch that, he definitely liked you more than a friend would.
When you finally met his eyes, you saw that he was smiling as he watched you process all of the new information. You couldn't think of anything to say, at least anything that would reassure him more than simply placing your lips back on him. So you did exactly that.
