It was almost nightfall. The very tip of the sun was just beginning to sink beneath the horizon line, cascading the sky in a series of cool purple and blue colours. The rover's engine hummed beneath your feet as you steered it through the grassy plain, it's wheels bumping against sticks and rocks. Bellamy sat in the passenger's seat with his head rested against the window, exhausted from the day's trip.

"You know, for someone who only drove five hours you seem awfully tired," you sneered, sneaking glances at Bellamy. Bellamy simply rolled his eyes, unable to contain a smile from crawling across his face.

"It's not my fault that I didn't get much sleep last night or that Arkadia needs supplies so far from camp," Bellamy retorts. You huffed, wishing you were back at camp in your bed or hanging around the fire with Raven and Octavia. But alas, Arkadia needed supplies and it just so happened that Abby assigned you and Bellamy.

You turn the rover onto a small path a few ways from a cliff overlooking an ocean. As you put the rover in park, Bellamy immediately perks up, hopping out from the rover. You look at him, your face puzzled. He runs close to the cliff, stopping a few feet before the edge drops into the blue abyss. You turn the key to the ignition and listen as the engine dies out before stepping out onto the ground. The early night air is crisp, a gentle breeze blows the hair out of your face. The ocean waves crash harshly against the edge of the cliff, roaring into the dark sky. You walk towards Bellamy, pinning your hands against your waist. You look down at the dark blue waves scaling the jagged cliffs. White foam covers the surface off the water, turning a dark grey as the last bit sun ray's fade off, leaving you, Bellamy and the ocean in the dark.

"I've only seen the ocean a handful of times," Bellamy says, his eyes flickering over the water. He takes a deep breath, inhaling the salty air. "And each time it seems more beautiful than the last," he mumbles.

You nod your head, having been lucky enough to see the ocean numerous times before.

"You know, the ocean, it reminds me of you," Bellamy says, turning his head to look at you. You return his gaze, feeling your cheeks suddenly flush.

"Why is that?" you ask. Bellamy steps closer to you, his eyes moving from you to the ocean.

"I don't know. It's just the ocean is so mysterious and breathtaking. It makes you think, it calms you down. The ocean is like a safe place for me," Bellamy mumbles in a low voice. You smile and look up at him.

"Aw Bell, that's so sweet," you say. Bellamy lets out a slight chuckle and pulls you into a sweet embrace.
