Right now I really wished I was able to get one of those makeup things that our ancestors had used on daily basis to make themselves look perfect.
It wasn't that I would be so keen on looking beautiful or without any imperfection. I just couldn't bring myself to leave my home with the big bruise all over my left eye.
In fact I didn't want to leave this place at all, but I had promised Bellamy to have a dinner with him at his place.
I could cancel it, but I knew he would be immediately suspicious and probably would come here. I also knew how excited he was about the dinner because we hadn't had much free time to spend together and I was really looking forward to it as well.
I had just a little time to come up with something to cover my bruise. I was looking through the whole dorm to find something useful but there was nothing.
Sighing I decided that my only option was to make up some decent story about how it had happened to me and pray for him to believe me.
Fortunately the corridors were empty so no one could see me like this. I hurried towards Bellamy's place and when I got there I knocked on the door a few times.
After a few seconds the door creaked open and to my surprise it wasn't Bellamy but his mother Aurora standing there.
"Hello," I spoke up confused trying to ignore the look she gave me, "is Bellamy here?"
"Hey, sweetheart," she smiled at me, "no, he isn't there, but he told me to tell you that he would be waiting you at your favorite place."
I knew exactly what place it was and it made me immediately smile.
"Oh, thanks," I nodded, "say hi to Octavia for me."
With that I started walking towards the place where Bellamy was waiting. It was basically a storage room, but the thing that I loved about it most was beautiful view on the Earth.
It was magical and I had often found myself coming there when I needed to escape from everyone. But recently it had become a place where me and Bellamy spent most of our free time.
I stepped in front of the door and took deep breath before opening it.
Bellamy was standing with his back to me still oblivious to my presence and gazing outside the window.Few feets from him there was a blanket on the floor with some food, candles and flowers. I felt a wave of excitement spread all over my body.
We weren't a couple yet, but we were just a one step away from that, more specifically one kiss. And I had a feeling that maybe today would be that day.
I tiptoed closer to him and then jumped on his back surprising him."Stargazing will get you killed one day," I joked as he jerked up in surprise.
"It would be nice death," he turned around smiling as he realized it was me and hugged me.
"I second that," I smiled pulling away from him a little. As I did that revealing my beaten face his face expression immediately changed.
"Who gave you that black eye?" He asked with serious face and I could see his eyes filling with anger.
"Ah, this?" I motioned to my eye, "no one, I just fell. You know how clumsy I am."
I mastered fake smile hoping he would believe that lie even though knowing him I doubted it.
"C'mon, Y/N. I thought we got trough that faze when we are keeping things from each other," he raised his eyebrow, "so who did that?"
"Bellamy," I sighed, "just let it go, please. It's nothing you should worry about."
