Chapter 19: The cleaning duty

The next morning

Anna's POV:

Finally! I'm more energised than before!

I stretched my entire body as I got out of bed. The first morning that I was fully awake right after I got out of bed.

After I showered, changed, and ate my breakfast, I immediately went to school. I'm ready to pay more attention to class.

I was about to enter my classroom when Mr. Olson suddenly interrupted me from behind

"Hey! Ms. Lautner, it seems like you've slept well" he observed my face then smiled

"Good morning, Mr. Olson" I smiled back

"It's your turn to clean the yard this week, Ms. Lautner" he said

His sentence made me surprised "It's my turn?!" I raised my voice

"Alyn didn't tell you?" he asked "That pest...well you better start without him"

"You mean the yard over there?!" I turned my head to the yard outside "But Mr. Olson-"

He's already gone.

Yeah, I have to find Alyn right now! I can't clean the yard by myself!

I roamed around the hallways to look for Alyn but I accidentally bumped into David

"Woah, why're you in a rush?" He asks

"I'm looking for Alyn. Have you seen him?" I responded

"I think he's going to cut classes again. But I saw him enter the school building earlier" he replied "I'll let you know when I see him" then he waved goodbye

"Where are you going?"

"Practice!" he shouted as he enters the gym

*RINGGGG

"Shit! It's time for class" I whispered to myself

I rushed into my classroom but Alyn wasn't there. Guess I'll just have to wait in the afternoon, huh?

In the afternoon, I continue to look for him but still I couldn't find him. I decided to look for places that I thought where would he stay and hang out. Of course, not in the library. But then, a memory flashes. Seeing Alyn, reading a book in his room. So I went inside the library and found some students reading.

Oh there's Louis! My eyes moved to the guy across him. Who's the guy he's talking to? The guy was wearing a hoodie, mask and glasses.

"It's not that cold in here..." I said to myself. Maybe that guy was having a cold. But that's not Alyn, he's not here though. Maybe the school roof?

Faster than a bolt of lighting, I rushed to the school's roof but still, Alyn was not there. Maybe the gym?

I rushed to the school's gym, there were boys working out when I peeked. I tried to look for Alyn but instead I found David showing off his muscular body to the newbies. I quietly walked away from the gym.

I've looked through many places but still no luck. It's time for me to go home, I went to the lockers' room to put my books and other things. Gosh, it's a mess.
