Chapter 59 : Playfest

Anna's POV:

My palms were sweating as I hear the crowd beyond those curtains. I peeked and saw the whole room is packed.

"There are more people than last year" Alyn suddenly shows up beside me

"Wow, the pressure. Thanks" I rolled my eyes at him

"Don't worry about it, Lautner. Just look at those guys" he pointed at a group of people from the audience

"The lower years?" I followed

"They're panicking because they regretted slacking off instead of practicing for this day" he replied, "Meanwhile us, we're always prepared so you've got nothing to worry about" he added as he pats my back

"Alyyyyyynn" we both turn around to see our classmate with a sloppy look on his face

"What's wrong?" Alyn responds

"Some girls wanted to see you. They're waiting for you outside" he had this annoyed look, "They kept bugging me as if I'm a servant or something"

"Fuck" Alyn groaned, "Tell them I'm busy"

"No. You should go" I suggested, "Because if you don't, girls would blame Finch for it"

Yes, Finch is the name of our classmate.

"If you go, you'll definitely make their hearts flutter and eventually they're gonna vote for our play" I added

He looks at me dumbfoundedly, "So you're just using me to gain reputation for our class?"

I smiled

He continues to stare at me for a few seconds. Finally, he sighs, "Okay fine" and mumbled something

"What?" I asked

"Huh? Nothing" he replied, "But you're coming with me in case if anything happens" and went ahead

"Did you hear what he said, Fin?" I asked

He nodded, "I heard him say 'Damn, you look -@+3 as hell when you smi--"

Alyn interrupted our conversation with a "Lautner" sighed, telling me to hurry up

I couldn't hear what Finch just said because of the talking from the audience. Okay thanks, Al.

I catch up to Alyn and we both went outside from the back. There we see five girls talking to David.

"He's here" David said as soon as he sees us

They all turned their heads and approached us with a big smile

"Hi Alyn Scottfield!" they giggled and squeaked

Oh so they're one of his fans.

"You look very handsome in that costume! Makes my heart melt!" one of them jumped up and down

"This is your first time in a play, right?" We're so excited to see you on stage. I wish you luck!" and another one shouted

"Who's this?" one girl pointed at me with a big smile then turns to Alyn again, "Is he your classmate? You didn't tell us that you guys have new handsome ones this year" they pouted

Wait, hold on. Did she just say 'he'?

David gave me such an expression then covers his mouth and laughed.

"Well, first of all, I don't know you guys so haha" Alyn replied to one of her questions, "He just transferred here"

I furrowed my brows at the fact that he went along with it.
