Chapter 47: Reasons

Anna's POV:

We reached to the location where Liana sent me. It was one of the violin shops, beside the shops is where the chess shop. They must've probably went there but how did they get into a fight? There's a crowd of people gathering there, cheering and capturing the fight

As we stopped, I took a breath from running too fast but Alyn seemed fine and it pisses me off. Then there's this strange look on his face

"I'm going in, you should stay here" he said

"Huh?! No I'm not, I'm diving in there as well"

"Do you wanna get beat up by those Cambridge boys?" he turned to me, angrily

"I don't care if I get beaten up, I can take care of myself. Our friends are in there and you're expecting me that I should sit here and watch?" I barked, "You don't make the rules here, Flower Boy"

Instead of getting angry, he smirked and says, "That's my girl"

Whatever. I cracked my knuckles before diving into the crowd, Alyn grabbed my collar and pulled me back to the fresh air.

"Oi, remember, we're not here to fight" he said, pulling me as if I look like a dog

"Yeah, yeah, I know" I said, then we forced ourselves to fit in with the tiny gaps. I couldn't breathe! It's too crowded. They all have sticky skin and wet armpits. But we managed ourselves to pass and there I see Ethan and David, about to punch those so called Cambridge Boys.

"Yo", Alyn's voice interrupted the fight

"Alyn!" the guys jumped by his presence

"Long time no see, Scottfield" one of the Cambridge boys stated, feeling confident and mighty

"And you are?" Alyn asked as he gave the guy an intimidating look

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Jonah Bach, and my father owns this shop" he said as he gestured and presented the violin shop

"Oh, now I remembered, you're one of Andrei's boys?" he laughed sarcastically

"How did you know that he's friends with Andrei?" I whispered to his side

"I saw him when you went grocery shopping" he replied

"How surprising! There's a girl from St. Clement's School--Oh wait, it's just you, Anna Lautner" Jonah exclaimed with a little French accent in his voice, "Say, how's school? Seems like you're blending in with the boys"

I began to clench my fist, preparing to punch him in the face. But I managed to control myself since they say that West Cambridge is one of the most respected schools, Ethan and David are here, too. Don't want them to find out about myself.

"So what's with the commotion?" Alyn continued to ask

"Apparently, these guys from your school punched one of my friends. You know, we were just looking at my shop" he replied

Ethan and David stepped forward with growling faces, I stopped them by grabbing them in the shoulder.

"You know that's violating the rules of the Department of Education, right? When a student attacked another student from another school, is gonna lower your school's reputation" he continued and laughed like a rich man, "We demanded an apology from you before we report this to the administration"

"What if we don't want to apologize?" Ethan hissed

"Sure, where and when?" Alyn said, calmingly, ignoring Ethan's words

"Woah, not getting cocky, eh?" Jonah reacted in surprise, "I wonder what changed you" he said as he glances at me, Alyn stepped forward to cover me.

"Haha, seems like you found yourself a little diamond, Scottfield" he continued to act high and mighty, "I'll give you 3 days, come to our school and see us in the lounge area from the second floor" he said before he and his group walked out like they're some sort of noble men

I watched them entered their cars and drove away without a blink

"Let's go" Alyn turned back as we followed him. I was surprised that he didn't cursed in front of the crowd.

He walks so fast, the 3 of us were jogging behind him to catch up. I'm disappointed, why would Ethan and David attack other people? Is it because they're jealous of them? Everyone's jealous of the Cambridge students.

"Ethan, explination, now" Alyn demanded as we all stopped at a nearby river

"Ok first of all, it's not entirely our fault!" Ethan replied, pouting as he looked at other things

"We stopped at their shops because we were interested. We were both talking about how we wanted to play the violin as a child" David continued

"But then those Cambridge boys came and looked at us as if we were cockroaches" Ethan hissed, "But we didn't mind them, until they told us that us, cheap private school kids, couldn't afford to buy these instruments"

"And told us that our school is full of animals that it should be called a zoo" David continued, "We couldn't help but get mad at their words"

"We can't just let them throw trash at our school. They insulted us" said the two

"Tch" Alyn's face changed into a demon, in other words, very irritated. The two boys stepped back, very alarmed because of Alyn, "Those rich bastards" he whispered

"So, what are we gonna do?" I questioned

"Tomorrow. We're going to their school, tomorrow" Alyn replied as he look at us with a straight face. His expression spoke that he has something to deal with those rich cowards.

"Hell no! I'm not going to apologize" Ethan disapproved, "It's no use telling you guys what happend! You're still forcing us to apologize"

"We're not going to apologize, idiot" Alyn slapped Ethan's head, "We're going to confront the truth and turn the tables"

"Am I going?" I asked

"Yes, we need someone to babysit these two idiots" Alyn nodded

"I'm not a babysitter, dumbhead!" I yelled

"Cute" he smiled, "We should head back, Yu's probably worried"

A highlighter flew across the hall as we arrived

"What took you so long?!" Yu screamed with rage

"Sorry we got distracted because there were guys fighting in the middle of the streets" Ethan immediately replied

"Sorry we're late, Yu" I said

"Sure sure whatever
More importantly, let's skip to scene 6" he replied as he gestured us to go up on stage
