Chapter 39: Headbutt

Anna's POV:

"Why would you do that?" they all looked at me with disappointment

That was a stupid move I made back there. I need to say something.

"I didn't have a choice" I said

The class rep furiously stands up, "Didn't have a choice? You didn't used your brain properly"

Sometimes, it sucks being in this character. I wanted to yell at them so bad.

"Nice try, Anna. We're gonna lose because of you"

I didn't know what to say. A lot of words are popping up on my mind but they're not right to respond to their comments.

The door slams behind me, we all jumped and looked at the door.

"Idiots" he said

"What did you say, Scottfield?" Julian furiously gritted his teeth

"She's just trying to help. Why? Would you rather take the test instead?" he says as he stands right beside me

Alyn?

They don't know what to respond, yeah, he's right. We don't want to take the exams.

"You're also insulting Yu over there. What's the problem of having an original?" he asked

"The story is too boring to people" someone replied

"It's not the story, it's the way you deliver it to them" he chillingly replied, but his sentence hits them

With a demanding voice, he replied "You better deal with it"

The moment I look at the guys, they were all frightened just by Alyn's words. To be honest, I didn't get what he just said.

"He's right..." someone whispers, "Sorry Al" they all apologized

"Don't apologize to me, apologize to them" he points the direction of his head to Yu and I

"Sorry guys..."

Haha. Yeah.

Now that's fixed, I'm ready to head home.

"You wanna come with us, Anna?" Ethan and the rest of the gang went to my desk

"Where?"

"Walk home?" he shrugged his shoulders

"Of course!" I replied, but then I remebered something "Oh the rankings!"

"Sure, go aheah, we'll wait here" they replied

"Aw come on! I'm going home by myself" Alyn groaned then went ahead of me

"Good idea" I replied then rushed to the other end of the hallway

Finally, I get to see the rankings. I'm so excited! If I got 1st, I would have a higher chance to exchange schools again.

By the time I arrived at the announcement board, I found my name at the top of the list, but--

"Second?!" My jaw dropped

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Why second? Who's first?!"

I read the guy's name that's right above mine, and it's--

"Scottfield?!" I got more surprised, "How?! There must be some kind of mistake" I turn my head to the guys, questioning

They gave me a questioning look, "I thought you knew that he's smart? He's the valedictorian in our batch"

"No I didn't" confused, I became speechless "Wh-wha..."
