She was the girl that carried the light of a thousand stars in her eyes,The girl with a smile that held so much joy that it immediately would be passed onto you once you caught a glimpse.
She had such immense beauty that it could take ones breathe away,
Yet her Mother always made her hide it and led her to believe she held no beauty at all.
"That outfit is rubbish, pull down those shorts! Do you want to be seen as a whore?" Her mother would constantly scream.
Her Mother's constant disapproving remarks and glances tore down her self-esteem and confidence faster than her daughter could ever realize.
And once she realized, it was too late.
She saw herself in such a bad light from that point on and even when the kids at school would attempt to tear it down as well, it would all trace back to her mothers original words.
Her Mother,
The person who was supposed to teach her how beautiful she really was and her self worth; Tore it all down.
Her Mother,
The person who was supposed to love her unconditionally and teach her how she deserves to be treated; abused her.
Her Mother,
The one person who she was supposed to feel that she could come to for anything and everything; abandoned her.
Her Mother,
The one who was supposed to wipe away her tears and comfort her in her darkest of times; caused them.
She caused all of this..
All of this self doubt,
All of this pain,
All of this self hatred.
It took her soo long to finally come to terms with her mother's actions and she still hasn't fully.
But she is soo tired of coming up with constant excuses to try to justify her mother's wrong doings, soo tired of defending her mother.
Her Mother left her beaten and broken beyond repair.
She taught her that no one could love her for who she is and taught her that love is not supposed to be gentle and kind, rather abusive and unfair.
Yet, she always loved with all she had.
She loved in ways that one can only experience minimal times in a lifetime.
She loved so passionately and selflessly; simply because she never wanted anyone to feel as she did.
She gave out the love that she always yearned for,
The love that she ached for,
The love that she deserved.
