with our backs to the sun
and smiles stretched on our lips.
looking into your eyes i see
no trace of doubt nor fear.
you whisper into my ear,
sending chills down my spine
you tell me to let go.
let go for just one night,
leave all our worries behind,
because it can wait till tomorrow.
with the devil on your shoulder,
and an angel on mine.
tonight we will go up in flames,
so everyone knows who we are.
with all that we can't remember,
and all that we cannot forget,
all will fade away tonight,
and we will lose our identities.
tonight we are merely
two strangers,
dancing the night away.
two humans,
enjoying the warmth
of each other's presence.
two beings,
forgetting the world
around them.
because we are stuck
in our own world.
a world where only we exist.
tonight we are two strangers,
two silhouettes in the
shadow of the sunset.
tonight is about us.
we will make
this night ours.
but tonight,
we lose our identities,
tonight, we are no longer known as
Kanzy and Asia.
we are not a
male and a female.
we are one two silhouettes,
dancing as one.
