they were skeptical,
it was written all over their faces,
and it came through clear in their voice
although they were skeptical,
they nodded, accepting her obvious lie.
they walked away,
slowly because they didn't want to leave, but they knew that they could offer no help to her.
so they left,
and she let them.
their reassurance that they're only a call away, still lingering in the air.
she wanted to call out to them,
tell them that she lied and she needed them..
and they didn't want to leave,
they just thought they were of no help to her and they must give her space..
but all she really needed,
and all they really wanted,
