never enough.
she tries and tries her hardest,
working each day,
a little harder than the last.
never enough.
always working to keep
everyone else happy and at ease,
she worked so hard towards it
that she lost her own
happiness and ease.
never enough.
she gives her all,
everyday until she has nothing left.
giving her all
to those who will not
even spare her a glance.
never enough.
but alas,
no matter how much
she gave of herself to those
who did not appreciate it.
she was simply,
never enough.
