There's no mistaking who she is when she walks into Westlake Studios in West Hollywood, California. The energy of the room shifts and changes as soon as she does her cool strut across the room, with her trademark body-hugging outfits and exquisite designer handbags making her photo session ready. Though she is anxious to speak about her upcoming projects along with her group members Promise, Liyah has a tight work schedule ahead of her. On the strength of her well-received performance in the drama film "Silenced Voices", and the success of its soundtrack, she had been offered many roles left and right. Putting her out there to be Hollywood's number one It Girl.Take notice Hollywood: There is a new girl in town.
Meanwhile, on the music side of things, she continues to be right in step with what music audience wants. Last heard on the radio with her "Toy Soldiers" and "Masterpiece" which propelled with their Silenced Voices soundtrack to double platinum status. She is now working with her group to top worldwide anticipated 1985 album "Long Way To Happy" that dubbed the group as being the biggest selling female recording group of all time, as was said at last years American Music Awards where Promise became the first recording group to win The Award Of Merit. Their new single "Bad Romance" was released last month with its new wave and techno influences mixing with her honey-eyed, seductive voice as made its way all the way to Billboard Top 100. On top of this, the songstress also collaborated with her husband, Michael Jackson, in the love ballad "I Can't Stop Loving You" which is quickly climbing to the top of the Billboard Chart. It is evident that she is becoming more confident in her own her voice as she continues to dominate music and dance.
