I could hear the voices through the walls as if they were right in front of me. All discussing the manner as if they were the ones to decide our fate after what had happened that night. I was far too exhausted to even discuss the issue. Though it weighed heavily on my mind, my brain wouldn't even allow me to think about it. The incident only played over and over again in my head like a broken record. The embarrassment, the humiliation, the tears. I didn't want to show my face to anyone after that whole ordeal. I just wanted to crawl in a corner and die.
I was standing in Ari's room at that Helmsley Palace after having laid her down for the night when I heard Savannah, Aleena, Tammy, and John walk into the living area of the hotel room. It was Damon who had let them in, and I couldn't figure out why he allowed them there in the first place when I specifically told him that I wanted no visitors. It was bad enough that I had to watch people stare with me sincerely and tell me that that they are sorry for what happened that night. Silently taking pity on me. It was so humiliating. I could literally see what they were thinking in their eyes. "Poor thing, she was about to have the best moment in her career, and it was just ruined by her so-called friend that she just expressed her love to. She must be so embarrassed. I feel so sorry for her." It took everything in me not to yell them, and tell them that I did not need their sympathy. All I wanted was to be left alone.
Savannah was doing most of the talking, her voice was stern and laced with frustration. "...stepped way over the line tonight. We need to figure out something to do with her."
"Wait,"Tammy's voice was uneasy. "I thought Liyah suspended her. Isn't that what she did?"
I heard someone suck their teeth, and then Leena's voice followed behind it, "There's no telling with her. She was vulnerable at the time. "
"And when Liyah is vulnerable, she tend to say things that she'll end up going back on at a later time." Savannah added.
What Savannah was saying was true; however, she wrong at the same time. When I told Jojo she was done, I meant that she was done for good. No suspension. No second chances. She was out.
But why would she end up going back on her word after that shit she pulled tonight?" Tammy argued. "I have never seen her that pissed off before. You can't tell that she will just...give her a slap on the wrist and tell her not to do it again."
"Yeah, well this is Liyah we're talking about." Leena told her. "That girl will let her emotions cloud her judgment any day, and because of the...obligation and loyalty she has for this group, there is a chance that is exactly what she would end up doing."
"It was the exact same way with Denise," Savannah added in a matter-of-fact tone.
Leena disagreed, "No, Denise might of have had some crazy ass issues, but the girl was scary. She would have never pulled the shit that Jo pulled tonight. She didn't have the guts for it. You can't compare this situation to the situation we went through with her, because there is a major difference between Jojo and De."
"What?" Tammy asked, her voice was filled with curiosity.
"Denise was crazy because the drugs made her that way," she explained. "And Jo was crazy before...the drugs only made her coo-coo cocoa puffs. All jokes aside. That girl--is literally crazy. Like, no fucking lie. The girl is throwed off. Nobody in their right mine would've done some fucked up shit like that and not feel any remorse for it."
"She was smiling a lot when Liyah was yelling at her," Savannah sounded as though she was saying that to herself.
"Ex-fucking-actly!" Leena exclaimed. "I don't even know why this a debate! Just throw her ass out."
