Jojo's POV
I was awoken by a knock on my front door. I'm not sure how early it was, or if it was even night or day. All I knew was there was a knock, and it pissed me off. I didn't like being woken up out if my sleep. Especially when I felt like someone had hit me in the head with a board the night before.
I pulled on my robe and stepped on to the cold hard floor. I kicked clothes that laid there out my way as quickly made my way towards the living room. TJ was sprawled out on my white leather sofa with a blanket over his body. Snoring loudly like a maniac. For some reason, that guy always ended up staying the night at my house. I could never remember the reason why. I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him. He only grabbed it and tucked it under his face. Turning on his side in the process.
The knocking continued, and this time it was more loud and obnoxious. "Okay!" I screamed. "Hold on!" I closed the robe over my naked body and tied the strings it a knot before opening the door.
Savannah stood there before before me. Her face fully made up, her body was covered in a white dress, and her feet were standing in heels. I looked out towards the blue morning sky, and then back at her. "I'm I...late for something?" I asked her.
Her red painted lips grew into a smirk. "No, I'm just on my way to the company."
"Okay..." I shook my head, crossing my arms across my chest. "Why are you here?"
"I need to talk to you. Mind if I come in?" She started to look in to my home, but I closed the door a little more. Using my body to block the little bit of opening that was left.
"What do you need to talk to me about?"
She was eyeing me suspiciously, "Business affairs... personal affairs. Stuff like that." She smiled.
I looked back into my messy, noticing the crack pipes and beer that was lying all over my glass coffee table. "Can we...talk about it later?" I asked, looking back at her.
She shook her head from side to side. "No," she said. "Come outside with me? It's not that cold out today."
I took a deep breath and sighed. "Fine," I knew she wasn't going to take no for an answer. I turned and stepped outside into the cool air, closing the door quietly. I didn't want TJ or anyone else in the house waking up.
The morning air made my eyes grow heavy as I followed her down the wooden steps. We sat down at the small table that on the porch and she handed me a cup of coffee. "What is this about, Sav?"
"Well," she said with a huff. " I've been receiving a lot a phone calls from a lot of the media companies that are registered with the uh...." Her crystal grey eyes met mine. " National Academy of Recording Arts and Science, and they are beginning to select certain music and songs to be nominated for Grammy awards."
My eyebrows furrowed. "Really?"
"Yep," she nodded.
"But... isn't it...a little to um...soon for that?" I asked her. It was only it the beginning of February.
She shook her head, taking a sip out of her coffee. "No, it's not. They usually start a little after the AMA's. The nominees won't be out for another three weeks."
