I made the video attached to this chapter (about 19 seconds) that is about Logan and Roman, and it strongly represents, explains, and provides proof as to what I am trying to convey in this one-shot.

Takes place before my two-shot where I showcased Roman's room (New Year's Goals and New Year's Resolutions), but after the 12 Days of Christmas SS video.

...

"Do you ever keep your opinions to yourself?"

Logan turned to look away from the coffee maker at Roman after his outburst. The creative Side was sitting at the dining room table with an assortment of markers and papers around him, planning out an idea for Thomas' next video. Logan had walked into the room to make a cup of coffee when he saw the mess all over the table and spilling onto the floor, so he casually tried to convince Roman that his idea would be better if he kept his work organized.

"Seriously," Roman flicked his marker between his fingers, angrily. "Do you?"

Logan looked back at the coffee maker to continue in the preparation. He closed his eyes slowly and answered in his head, 'Yes, and you do not even know it.'

Instead, Roman tore his eyes off of the back of Logan's head to look down at the table. Eyes immediately softening, he surveyed how unorganized all his work actually was. He sadly started to quietly move the papers around into different stacks as Logan finished making his coffee.

Although attempting to put himself in the middle of their living area to hopefully let the others know he was willing to talk, as the extrovert he is, Roman just wanted to go back to his room. He was starting to feel like the others were ignoring him due to him rarely seeing them.

Logan turned around, now holding a cup of coffee, and leaned against the kitchen counter. "What are you working on? I was unaware that Thomas was thinking of a new video idea."

"Oh..." Roman was surprised Logan asked, and he hadn't thought of how he wanted to bring the subject up to Logan yet. "Well, I'm planning on the video where we film in my room."

Logan crossed his arms. "Your room?"

"Yeah!" Roman tried to give a smile, but he recognized the tone of Logan's voice; the one he usually had when he was about to diss something Roman said. "The Fanders are expecting the videos with my room and your room, and since you haven't mentioned showing yours, I figured mine would come first..."

Frowning more as Roman talked, Logan was growing nervous. He needed to get back to his room; he could not handle this feeling. "Roman you know we should not go into each other's rooms, right? At least, not for very long."

"But," Roman held up a few pieces of papers in which Logan saw a few doodles. "I have an idea, and I actually thought you'd like this one..."

Roman trailed off, and Logan scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.

"This one?" Logan quoted, feeling confused and maybe even a little guilty.

Roman nods, setting the papers down with a sigh. He leaned back in his chair. "It seems that every time I bring up an idea to you, or any of you, it gets shut down. Sometimes I just wish we could share an opinion for once..."

"We share several opinions," Logan tried to argue, taking a nervous sip out of his coffee. "Like..."

Trailing off, Logan was not able to think of any, and he saw where Roman was coming from. Roman nods. "See? It's like you don't trust me to have a good idea. You're not the only one that's got intelligence, ya know."

Logan blinks. "What would make you think that I do not trust you?"

"If you trust me," Roman did sarcastic air quotes. "Then why won't you let us film in my room?"

Logan's facial expression changed. He was not able to bring himself to say 'because I do not want anything bad to happen to any of you.'

At the non-answer, Roman just lifted his head higher, as he does, and told Logan "I see". Roman knew that they haven't been able to get along in the past, but he always thought that at the end of the day, they were all a family, and that they could trust each other with anything; not that Roman has entrusted everything to any of them, yet.

The false sense of security he had formed about how they were all friends was betraying him, and he could finally see that he was just lying to himself. Even Patton, the one that would accept all of them, tends to appease Logan and Virgil, often at the spite of Roman.

He had worked really hard on their Christmas Carol for the last Sanders Sides video despite his writer's block, and the others all basically ruined it. Patton kept changing the lines, which Roman realized after watching the footage back was to make Virgil laugh. He could watch the idea form in Patton's mind, and it made his heart sink to see that it actually worked.

Virgil smiled- a real smile, which is something Roman has tried so hard for so long to do- and Virgil still wouldn't say the only line he gave him. He only gave Virgil one line because Roman didn't want him to feel anxious over having to say multiple lines.

Although Logan did argue with Roman almost the whole song, Logan did surprise him and make him happy when he actually sang, albeit not his written line, but Roman's thoughts came back down to Earth.

Gathering his papers, Roman stumbled out of his chair, not noticing how Logan watched him, almost as if in fear. "What's the point in being creative if logic just gets in the way?"

Storming out of the room, Logan just sighs and fills his coffee cup up again, retreating to his room.

As Roman made his way to his room, he couldn't help the few tears that had formed spill over his eyelids.

'Not only do I hate my own ideas, sometimes,' Roman thought to himself. 'But they do too.'

Slamming the door, Roman let his self-doubt seep out of him, feeling the calming effects of his room helping ease his worries. He let the papers and markers tumble out of his hands onto the floor as he stalked to his full-body mirror. Looking at himself, he saw his own frown soften until he was able to smile again.

'I can let this go,' Roman straightened his outfit, smiling at his reflection. 'I always do.'

...

Logan didn't want to do what Roman wanted, which was the 12 Days of Christmas carol, but Logan wanted to help Virgil in Fitting In with the house sorting discussion. This further makes me believe Logan and Roman's relationship is very strained, and Logan and Virgil's relationship is better.

These two have such a rocky relationship, I really hope they fix their issues in the upcoming Sanders Sides videos.
