Okay

"Are you alright? You look sad." Patton caught Roman in the hallway as Roman bustled though it holding stacks of papers. He'd been heading to Logan's room to progress on an idea when Patton intercepted him.

"I'm okay." Roman continued past Patton towards Logan's room. He opened the door with his foot, easily since it wasn't fully closed, and dropped off his ideas on Logan's desk. Logan looked up in astonishment at the amount of stuff now clumsily cluttered on his own stuff.

"Is this all?" He asked, only somewhat sarcastically. Roman nodded and made to leave the room to continue brainstorming ideas. He always dropped off his many ideas with Logan, who would then proceed to organize and go through them, deciding what was good and what should be scrapped.

Roman went to shut the door so Logan could get to work, but Logan stopped him. "You need to eat something."

"Yeah yeah yeah..." Roman muttered as he left the room. "I'm okay."

Instead of heading to the kitchen to get some food, Roman went to his bedroom. Instead of crawling into to bed and getting some rest, he walked over to his desk. He pulled out a fresh notepad, considering he tore all the papers out of his last one that he gave to Logan.

He scribbled down checklists and made notes on anything and everything that went through his head. There was a knock on his door. Roman only paused briefly to allow them to enter. He didn't know who it was, not looking to see who entered, but Roman heard them walk over to see what he was working on.

"How long has it been since you've slept?" Virgil spoke up, leaning on the back of his desk chair to watch him write.

Roman shrugged, not taking the time to even think of an answer to the question. He didn't have the time to think of the answer, considering it would take a considerable amount of time to. He hadn't actually slept in at least 36 hours.

Virgil chuckled, but something deep inside Roman could tell it didn't have humor in it, but Roman ignored this. Virgil moved to sit on the edge of Roman's desk. "I'll sick Remy on you if you don't sleep soon."

Moving his papers away from where Virgil sat, Roman ignored the threat and kept writing ideas; everything that came to his mind. He didn't notice when it started, but Roman eventually realized the paper he was writing on was full of bullet points that each said I'm okay.

He stopped. Shaking his head, Roman tore the paper from his notebook and pushed it to the side. He took a deep breath to try and refocus before starting on a new piece of paper.

By now, Roman completely forgot that Virgil was still there. Seeing what was written on the paper Roman just ripped out, Virgil sighed quietly and sat, and watched. He was used to not sleeping much by now, usually sleeping in small increments throughout the day, considering he would either wake up to nightmares or would wake up and just simply couldn't settle down enough to fall back asleep. Roman was not faring well on little sleep.

Watching as Roman tried to stick the crayon he was writing with in a pencil sharpener, Virgil figured he should intervene. Virgil grabbed Roman's hand, stopping his movements, and Roman looked up. His eyes were red and if Virgil didn't know better, he would have thought Roman had been crying.

"Are you okay?" Virgil raised an eyebrow, still awkwardly holding Roman's hands in between his. Roman stared, trying to process the question, before ripping his hands away from Virgil.

He went back to writing. "I'm okay."

Virgil watched for a few seconds longer, surprised at Roman's tone. He swiped the ripped paper and left the room, finding Patton within a minute. Showing him the paper, Virgil shook his head. "I don't think he's okay."

Later on, Roman was still working. His brain was drained and his hands were shaking. His handwriting had gotten progressively worse, and he couldn't see straight unless he focused intently, which at this point had become hard.

A pair of arms wrapped around his shoulders. He would have flinched had he had enough energy to. Roman looked up and saw Patton move in his line of sight. When he kept looking, he saw that Logan and Virgil were there as well.

Patton bent down beside where he sat at his desk to be eye level with him. "Stop telling us you're okay. It's okay to not be okay."

Roman stared at him, blinking at his words mumbling through his mind. His ears felt hot trying to listen to what he was saying. "Okay."

Tears started to roll down Roman's cheeks silently. He didn't even notice, but the others looked at him in worry and care upon seeing them. Roman swallowed. "I could just use a hug."

At his quiet request, the others felt their hearts break, and they all crowded around him. Their four-person hug was comforting to Roman, and he felt himself drowning in the sensation. His eyes slipped closed before he could even return the embrace.

The tears continued to roll down his cheeks in exhaustion as he started to drift to sleep, already succumbing to unawareness by the time he was carried to his bed and tucked in. His last memory was of a kiss being pressed to his forehead, and he fell asleep with one last deep breath.

...

I'm still worrying about Roman. It has become quite the obsession. When I'm not worrying about Logan, I'm worrying about Roman.

Remy is not my idea, I repeat, not my idea. I've seen a lot about him. Idk if it's canon or not, but that's the name I've seen for Sleep. I don't know where it originated from. I saw it on iFunny first.
LMAO though. That's a hilariously good name for Sleep. Remy as in REM (the sleep cycle rapid-eye movement or whatever).
