Secret Santa

In my last post, I theorized that there would be a Sanders Sides video posted sometime before Christmas that would not showcase any of the sides' rooms. I didn't expect it to happen because the videos are stressful for Thomas, so I figured he wouldn't make another Sanders Sides video in 2017 because of all the other stuff he's doing, including the secretive music video.

BUT THEN I saw Thomas' twitter post about how he was going to post that Broadway songs game this week, and then would start to work on the next Sanders Sides video next week. If he makes this video a Christmas video, then that means that Thomas and Co. can use nearly the entire month of December to plan, film, and edit, without being super stressed about getting it done quickly.

So I BET that the next video will be a Christmas video.

This takes place prior to my New Year's Goals/Resolution one-shot set.

...

Thomas sits on the floor of his living room, ignoring the confused looks from his sides.

Logan speaks up first. "What do you mean by 'We're doing a Secret Santa?'"

"Well," Thomas corrected himself as he wrote a name down on another sticky note. "You guys are. I'm not."

Virgil raised a hand. "Why?"

Shrugging, Thomas didn't answer and instead wrote down another name while the others started to throw out reasons for them not to do this; except for Patton, who attempted to instead convince the others it would be fun.

"That's right, Patton." Thomas stood up and shook the cup of names with his hand planted firmly on top of it. "It will be fun, and would give you guys a chance to show how much you care for each other."

Logan tilted his head back and forth. "I guess the exchanging of gifts with the idea of secrecy could appear to be joyful."

"Oh, Thomas!" Patton put his hands together. "Would we reveal who gave who the gifts to who?"

Logan corrected him with "whom" just as Thomas replied that "yeah, you guys can guess who gave you your gift and then we can reveal who it actually was."

"I shall pick first then, if I must take part in this game." Roman reached his hand out and Thomas offered him the cup. Picking out a name, Roman unwraps the paper and frowns.

Virgil? Roman thought to himself as he snuck a glance to his left to see him picking a name out of the cup and slipping it in his hoodie pocket after reading the name.

Logan, with a sigh, picks a name out of the cup. After reading the name, he instantly picks out his phone and starts to research for a gift.

Patton claps his hands excitedly before taking the single strip of paper left in the cup. Upon reading it, he sticks it in his pocket, and looks at everyone, specifically the side leaving the room that he had to get a gift for.

"When are we going to exchange gifts, Thomas?" Patton remembered.

Thomas shrugs. "Christmas, I guess."

"Pssh," Patton began to sink down, followed by Virgil, while Roman visibly panics. "That's plenty of time."

-A Week Later-

Patton settles on the couch with a chocolate cookie to join Roman in watching the Polar Express. Roman sat uncharacteristically lazily, having not even gotten dressed that day in his normal regal outfit, instead remaining in his jingle bell PJs.

The door opens, letting a little chill in the mindscape living room, and Logan walks in with a paper bag. He takes off his light coat and drapes it on the couch as he walks in. Quickly surveying the room, he heads to the kitchen.
