It had already been the first week, and Adaline was woken bright and early once again. Although it had been a while, Adaline was still not used to the early hours. Clearly this family liked to be awake for nearly all hours of the day and not waste any time sitting around.

She groaned as she made her way downstairs and noticed that the whole family were already at the table eating what looked like pancakes. Well that was everyone apart from Uncle Andrew, he was almost always out working with some other range keepers.

"Oh, morning Adaline darling, I was just cooking some pancakes if you'd like some?" Aunt Carol spoke unbelievably energetic considering it was literally 8am.

"Yes please" Adaline managed to croak out as she collapsed down onto the seat opposite to Charlotte.

"You're really not a morning person are you?" she teased before taking a bite of her pancake noticing Adaline's elbows placed onto the table holding her head as she began to slightly fall asleep again.

"Huh! Oh yeah no back home I only ever got up at this time either for work or school" Adaline replied waking herself back up.

"Here you go dear!" Aunt Carol said as she took the spatula and placed two pancakes down onto a plate and handed it over to Adaline.

"Thank you, Aunt Carol" Adaline said as she took the plate from her and placed it down before taking a bite.

Just then Charlotte peered out of the window behind Adaline and her eyes widened at the sight. Adaline looked confused before turning to see what Charlotte was looking at.

Nearly choking on her pancake, Adaline's eyes widened too at the view. Outside stood the boy from yesterday apart from this time he had no tshirt on and apparently was very fit.

There was some sort of machine next to him which he was bent over trying to fix, but Adalines eyes were more fixated on the muscular biceps and abs of the boy leant over working away at it then the machine.

She felt her mouth go dry just staring before she turned back to face Charlotte who had the exact same expression.

"Who is he?" Adaline questioned back emphasising the words still shocked by his appearance. She thought that the idea guys were very fit out here because of the fact they work non stop in the countryside was just a myth but clearly this was yet again a cliche movie moment.

"That's Noah, his Dad works on the farm just down from us and occasionally comes and works here for some extra money..isn't he just gorgeous I'd do anything for him to speak to me but anytime I go near him I just freak out" Charlotte explained and Adaline laughed.

"Well I doubt you need to be worried that much, he's kind of an arse.." she admitted before taking another bite of her pancake.

Charlotte just sat across her eyes widened as Adaline looked up and noticed before raising her eyebrow confused.

"You've spoken to him? When? How? Oh my god you're so lucky!" Charlotte began to squeal and Aunt Carol looked over from the other side of the kitchen helping Oliver before back again.

"When I first arrived, he just appeared behind me and started talking to me. Rude for starters, but also kind of funny.." Adaline exclaimed looking back out the window towards the stranger who was now wiping his sweaty forehead with his tshirt.

"Did anything else happen? Did you guys touch?" she asked quite boldly, shocking Adaline that she asked such a strange question.

"What? ah uh yeah we- we touched. he helped me up after I slipped over.." Adaline went to say placing her hand on the side of her head in disbelief she had made herself look like such an idiot.

"Oh my god! You're the girl he was on about the other day" Charlotte burst out saying, her mouth wide open.

"I'm sorry?" Adaline shot back wondering what the hell she was on about.

"The other morning, when I came downstairs and he was inside getting tools. I didn't actually manage to talk but he spoke about a preppy girl 'pristine' he called her" Charlotte laughed thinking back to that mornings occurrence.

Adaline just sat across her chin rested in one of her hands as she listened carefully, wondering why Noah had been talking about her. They had only just met and quite frankly their introductions weren't the best, they argued and he was incredibly rude to her.

"Anyway, so he just said about how she was so different to girls around her. Not the usual soppy kind that drooled over him but someone who actually knew how to stand their ground and fight back not give in to what he said. He said he liked how different she was..and also the fact she was a bit of a clutz and kind of cute" Charlotte added on, making Adaline just sit in shock that he had actually said all of that.

She assumed he hated her just as much as she thought she did, but knowing now he actually sort of liked her intrigued her. She had to find out what this Noah's guys deal was and whether he was as interesting as he seemed and hopefully not just a total idiot like most guys were. Adaline wanted to show him she wasn't just some preppy girl from the suburbs but that she could actually work hard and manage the farm life.

"Charlotte" she said as she got up and followed over to Charlotte who was now at the sink washing up the empty plates.

"Yeah?" she questioned turning to see Adaline tapping at the counter.

"Do you-do you think maybe you could teach me some of the things you do here?" Adaline blurted out, surprising Charlotte.

"Oh yeah, of course! I'm going to collect the eggs from the chicken coop this morning if you wanna help?" Charlotte exclaimed and Adaline nodded.

"Sure, do you by any chance..have any clothes I could borrow. You know..mine aren't exactly fit for the countryside life" Adaline said laughing as both her and Charlotte thought back to her outfits the last few days and how inappropriate they were for the farm.

"Yeah no problem! I'll have some spare dungarees lying around" she said pulling Adaline by the arm and upstairs to her room.

Adaline groaned at the thought of wearing dungarees but if she wanted to fit into this lifestyle she was going to have to develop her clothing style.

A while later Adaline come out of the bathroom holding her pjs in her arm while standing in her new outfit. Charlotte turned after waiting outside for her and gasped at the sight.

"How did I know you'd somehow manage to make dungarees and boots look good" Charlotte laughed as she stared over at Adaline stood wearing a black pair of dungarees, her signature red crop top, she couldn't not have at least one of her own items of clothing on and some black boots.
