She cleaned her face before going back to her room. She decided to change into something else after noticing the pasta stains on her top, probably from earlier when she splattered it everywhere. She changed into a pale blue long sleeved top and her white skirt before slipping on some white socks. She then reapplied some makeup and sorted her hair out before going downstairs.
She sat down at the table and everyone smiled at her, she assumed Aunt Carol must of told them all as no one spoke to her but instead looked at her with pity in their eyes.
"So did you girls buy anything when you went off in town?" Aunt Carol spoke out clearly wanting to break the silence.
"Nope, we went for food in the food hall and then..well Adaline..uh..we- we came back" Charlotte went to say realising what she was about to say and awkwardly stopped herself trying to not bring up the delicate topic again.
"Oh um, well that's okay maybe you girls can go another day.." Aunt Carol shot back quickly trying to fix the situation.
That night Adaline fell asleep, a tear rolling down her cheek as she thought about Noah and how he had hurt her. Clearly he didn't feel the same way and had just got caught up in the moment.
She sighed as she slowly fell asleep, trying to forget about him and move on.
