Adaline let out a sigh as she turned back to notice her Aunt stood with her hands clasped together still gazing at her.

"Do you always stare at people that much?" Adaline exclaimed, letting out a small laugh before picking up her suitcase and stepping inside.

Aunt Carol just stood a second shocked by her reply before following in after Adaline. Adaline stopped and placed her case down in the large hallway of the house admiring the beautiful decorations. She couldn't believe how amazing their house was, she gazed around at the hundreds of pictures hanging on the walls. And how country-like the farm house really was, it was like something out of a movie.

"Charlotte! Oliver! Come down here please, don't be rude come and say hello!" Aunt Carol shouted up the stairs.

Adaline stared around waiting to be introduced to her, apparent two cousins she could not remember. Just then a girl maybe, two years younger than her walked down the stairs in blue dungarees and her hair tied up in a messy bun. She was really pretty, even without trying. Then came the padding feet of a little boy who must of been around four or five, her younger cousin she remembers her aunt being pregnant with the last time she saw them.

"Adaline, these our my children Charlotte and Oliver. Say hello kids" Aunt Carol said nicely but strict and her children did what she said

"Hiya" Charlotte spoke, she had a very soft voice.

"Helloo, who are youuu?" Oliver said standing directly below Adaline staring up at her with a little confused expression on his face with his hands clasped together.

"I'm Adaline" she said smiling and he smiled back before gripping around her leg surprising her "Oh, Uh" she said looking to Aunt Carol for reassurance.

"Oliver! Let go of her leg for goodness sakes she's our guest!" Aunt Carol said and Oliver did as he was told.

"Charlotte, will you show Adaline to her room please" Aunt Carol ordered and Charlotte nodded before looking to Adaline as she signalled up the stairs.

Adaline picked up her suitcase before following Charlotte up the stairs. She guided her along a long hallway, stepping over lots of toys which she assumed were Oliver's. Before she stopped outside a room at the end.

"This will be your room" Charlotte said pushing open the door to reveal a little cute room, the walls were covered in an antique wallpaper and the bed had cream sheets with some fluffy pillows on. There was a small wooden wardrobe in the corner alongside a wooden desk too. There was a push out window in the other corner, with a window seat filled with pillows. Overall the bedroom was really nice and Adaline didn't mind having to live there for the next few weeks.

"I'll leave you to unpack" Charlotte said before closing the door behind her and leaving Adaline alone in her new room. Adaline fell back onto the bed staring up at the cracked ceilings before sighing. So far this hadn't been so bad, maybe it wouldn't be terrible after all.
