Later that day, it was around 5:55pm and the cafe was beginning to empty, there were just a few customers left. Adaline yawned as she picked up the last plate from the table before taking it behind back to be washed up by the other staff. Evelyn stood by the cashier, bored tapping away at the money drawer, humming to herself.

The last person got up and paid before leaving and Adaline let out a sigh as she collapsed down onto one of the wooden chairs opposite the cashier where Evelyn was stood.

"I'm exhausted" Adaline huffed.

Evelyn nodded "Me too" she sighed "But! We still need to go shopping so come on, grab your things and let's go" she commanded.

Adaline sighed as she slowly got up and made her way behind back to get her things.

They made their way down the street towards the shopping mall. "Okay, shall we try Lucies?" Evelyn asked and Adaline nodded before they made their way over to the shop and inside.

About 10 minutes later Adaline and Evelyn met back by the changing rooms ready to try their options on. "Okay, let's show our first options!" Evelyn shouted from the changing room across from Adaline's before they both pulled the curtains back and revealed their first outfits.

As usual the girls had struggled but narrowed it down to picking out, two outfits. Adaline's first outfit was a dark navy fitted off the shoulder dress and black heels.

She smiled as she spun and showed off her outfit to Evelyn who's eyes widened at the sight.

"Oh my god! you look stunning!" she gasped and Adaline laughed feeling herself blush as she turned and viewed herself once again in the mirror. "Okay, now me!" Evelyn said as she spun round for Adaline.

Evelyn was wearing a navy blue skirt and a white crop top alongside some white heels. "Wow you look amazing! Please tell me you're getting that one" Adaline said.

Evelyn smiled "Well you need to definitely get that one then!" she exclaimed.

They both laughed knowing forewell that they would've liked their first options better before even trying the second ones. They paid for their items before making their way back to Evelyn's for dinner.

Evelyn's mother had already began to dish up dinner as Adaline and Evelyn made their way through the door. "Oh honey you're home! I was just dishing up dinner" Evelyn's mother shouted from the kitchen.

"Adaline's here mum, is she allowed to stay for dinner?" Evelyn asked as they made their way into the kitchen.

Adaline stood smiling by the archway next to Evelyn as she noticed Evelyn's mother stood at one end dishing out salad, Evelyn's father sat down on one side and Evelyn's older brother, Jack sat next to him.

Jack had, had a crush on Adaline for a while now and although he was in college, something about Adaline intrigued him more than the other girls at his college.

Adaline on the other hand; did not like him back and Evelyn constantly teased her for this, about the awkward crush her brother had on her.

Evelyn wished they would date as she always went on about if they got married how they'd become sisters and so on, mostly Adaline drowned out Evelyn's excited mumbling about fake future plans.

"Oh of course darling, we have more than enough for you!" Evelyn's mother replied cheerfully as she sat down at the end of the table.

Evelyn went and sat down across from her father, leaving Adaline to sit opposite Jack,

typical.

"So, did you girls go shopping?" Evelyn's mum asked as everyone began to eat the wonderful casserole Evelyn's mum had made that day.
