UNTIL THE END

Chapter Forty Nine

"Adaline! Noah! Oh finally you're here!" Aunt Carol shouted as she rushed down the porch steps and over to Adaline who was waddling slowly towards her.

"Oh you look beautiful!" Aunt Carol exclaimed as she held her hands up to Adaline's face and Adaline smiled back.

"Oh! oh and look at you" Aunt Carol blurted out,excitedly as she held her hands around Adaline's bump.

Adaline gaze down, leaning her arms behind her back for support as Aunt Carol felt her stomach.

"Oh, let's get you inside and comfortable. Come on, follow me" Aunt Carol said as she walked and helped Adaline inside, and Noah carried in their bags from the car.

"My god, I still can't get over the fact you're going to have a baby, when are you supposed to be due?" Aunt Carol asked as she sat across from Adaline, now in her living room.

"Next week" Adaline answered and just then Charlotte and Oliver came rushing into the living room.

"Oh my god your stomach!" Charlotte squealed as she ran to Adaline and hugged her carefully before gazing in shock at how big she was.

Adaline laughed at their reaction as she noticed Oliver stood, staring, clearly confused on why his older cousin suddenly had a massive stomach.

"Adaline's going to have a baby Oliver" Aunt Carol explained and it took a moment before Oliver replied.

"Ah cool! Does that mean I'll have someone else to play with! Is it a boy?" Oliver asked as he shot forward to join his sister in holding around Adaline's stomach.

"Oh, Oliver! I'm sorry Adaline that he's like this. But, did you find out the gender?" Aunt Carol apologized before asking.

"Yes actually we did" Adaline replied just as Noah came back in and sat against the sofa arm and Adaline rubbed Noah's hand to the side of her face.

"And..?" Aunt Carol asked excitedly as she signaled for Oliver and Charlotte to sit down next to her on the long sofa.

"Well..we're having a girl!" Adaline admitted and Aunt Carol gasped in shock and Charlotte clapped with joy but Oliver sat quietly.

"Oh! Oh, that's amazing, I'm so excited" Aunt Carol blurted out, clearly struggling to hide her joy.

"Yes haha, so are we" Adaline said as she gazed up to Noah who was staring down at her and she smiled before squeezing his hand.

"So, you too must be hungry from your long journey? How about we get dinner served" Aunt Carol said as she got up and everyone began to make their way into the kitchen for dinner.

Over the next few days it was mostly the same, Adaline's uncle came back from work and was told the news as well, he seemed over the moon that she was having a baby but managed to maintain his excitement a lot better than the others did.

It felt good for Noah and Adaline to be out in the countryside and away from home, it was a lot more peaceful and gave them time to relax before the baby was soon to arrive.

Because after that it would be non stop hassle and stress for a while, so they felt the need to have a break away for the last time for a bit.

It felt very nostalgic being back there and Noah and Adaline reminisced on the past and when they had first met and how things were so different.

The first time it was just Adaline and Noah, two teenagers out in the countryside, messing around and cluelessly falling in love. But now, now they were laying here in the guest bedroom about to have a baby soon.

It had been such a long time and they had come so far in life, they had managed to put all their problems behind them and find a way.

Because with Noah and Adaline,

they always found a way.
