For the next few days Adaline stayed clear of Noah she watched as he laughed and hung around with his new girlfriend. He had clearly moved on and had no interest in Adaline anymore and she was fine with that.

Everything she had felt was just an illusion and meant nothing, he didn't feel the same way back, she had just been fooling herself into thinking so.

She watched from afar as Noah began to take the girl to the same places he had with Adaline, to the oak tree down by the stream and riding the horses through the fields.

She felt sick to the stomach watching them be all lovey dovey and she hated him for the way he had treated her. She had really thought he was different and not like other guys, he would never hurt her like this but clearly she had been in over her head.

She'd often make remarks or facial expressions if he came to help Charlotte and Adaline working on the farm and decide to bring along his new girlfriend.

Adaline made sure they weren't subtle and would purposely try to get Noah to notice her doing so. Like today she did the same thing while they were helping clean out the stables.

Adaline scoffed as she watched Noah hold around his new girlfriend making out with her passionately, who was apparently called Maria and she pretended to be sick making a throwing up gesture with her hands at Charlotte who giggled.

Noah noticed and looked over seeing Adaline do the gesture before she side eyed them in disgust and he stood up glaring over.

"Is there a problem Adaline?" he snapped back.

Over the past few days, Noah and Adaline had drifted apart and become less than friends now. He had been so busy with his new girlfriend they never spent any time together anymore and Adaline not liking Maria eventually made them drift away and stop being as close.

She fooled herself into thinking she didn't mind but deep down it was killing her to see him with someone else, doing the same things he used to do with her. She put on a brave face and pretended everything was okay but she knew it wasn't.

Same as Noah who was pretending to be dealing well not being around Adaline anymore; not hearing her laugh or seeing her cute smile but instead glares and disgust from her whenever he was near. She blocked him out completely and wasn't even interested in being civil but instead just ignored him completely shutting him out from her all together.

"No, not at all" she snapped back sarcastically smiling at him before turning back and shovelling hay.

"Are you sure? Because you don't seem to be very pleased about something?" he shot back and Maria turned round beginning to notice sudden tension.

"I have no idea what you're on about Noah, i couldn't be more than pleased I mean who doesn't want to see you and your girlfriend practically eating one another?" Adaline snapped back as she crossed her arms and turned to face Noah who now looked angry.
