She waited a moment before she shot a stern glare at Adaline.
"I hope you're happy, enjoy my boyfriend you whore!" Maria shouted as she grabbed her things up and ran off back home.
"That's it, how dare she call you a whore I swear when I get home I'm calling her and I am ending things she is so rude and disrespectful and-" Noah started going off on one and Adaline stepped forward placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Noah" she said stopping him before he noticed her hand and went silent.
"It's okay, she has every right to be angry at me" Adaline exclaimed but Noah still didn't look happy.
"But that still doesn't give her the right to say that to you, she's just jealous" Noah replied.
"Jealous? of what, the girl who makes a fool of herself" Adaline said laughing.
God had Noah missed that laugh.
"No, a girl who has a strong mind and sticks to what she wants" Noah replied back.
"And what does she want?" Adaline asked.
"I think you know.." Noah said as he stepped a little closer.
Adaline so badly wanted this to happen but she knew it was too soon and wrong; what happened if something went wrong again, would they lose each other forever. She so desperately tried to cover over the feelings.
"Noah.." she said and he stopped.
"We can't do this..us..it can't happen" she said as she bowed her head.
"But Adaline.." he replied.
"No Noah, it's not right" she snapped back before she walked off grabbing her things and hurrying back towards the farm house.
