She gasped as she read the screen which said Noah's father was calling. She nearly dropped the phone in shock before she shot up from her seat grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder.
She raced out of the classroom answering the phone as she ran down the hallway towards the outside of school.
"Hello? Hello Mr- Mr Giddons" Adaline said hastily as she ran down the car park to her car.
"Adaline..it's Noah...you need to get here now somethings happened" Mr Giddon's spoke calmly and difficult to determine whether it was good or bad news.
She hung up the phone and got into her car throwing her bag onto the passengers seat as she turned on the engine and reversed out of the car park.
She drove as fast as she could down the road towards the hospital which was halfway to Devonarch just between both their towns.
She felt the emotions run through her as she frantically tried to figure out what might of happened. Was it good or bad news? Was Noah okay or did..did something happen.
She raced down the road her mind going crazy with thoughts or worries about what was going to happen once she got there and whether or not everything was okay.
She got to the hospital in half the time than before after rushing as quickly as she could worried about what had happened, before running inside and down the hallway towards Noah's room.
She raced along the corridor towards his room before stopping outside and freezing as she saw nurses stood around him making it unclear of what was going on.
She stopped dead in her tracks her mouth wide open as she desperately tried to see if Noah was okay or not before she saw Mr Giddons stood across with his hands together and he didn't look sad, but he didn't look happy which brought a confused and intrigued look onto Adaline's face as she tried to peer round the nurses to see where Noah was lying.
They moved aside and she gasped, her hand up to her mouth as she began to shake uncontrollably as she slowly walked through the door and into the room.
She stared over in disbelief that she was really seeing this and the words went from her mouth not knowing what to say or do. Her breath heavy as she stopped right opposite the bed and over to where Noah was lying, before she opened her mouth again but no words came out.
"Adaline..?" Noah spoke weakily as the nurses stood to one side and there appeared, Noah sat upright in the bed his face pale and body covered in wires and pads as he looked over at Adaline who stood frozen to the spot in pure shock.
She just began to laugh and cry in pure shock and overwhelment as she slowly walked over to him.
"Noah..oh god Noah you're okay!" she cried as she managed to now rush over falling down by his side and grabbing his hand tightly as she scanned his body checking to see he was okay and if he really was awake.
She thought it was just some dream so she squeezed his hand to make sure he was real and that he wasn't just her imagination and that she wouldn't just wake up any moment.
But it was real, he was real, he was awake.
he was alive.
