Earlier this morning before I went to school, I received a text message from Sven. His message is weird because it's from him. If you know what I mean. 'Yong laman kasi ng message niya, iyon ang pinakahuling bagay na inexpect kong marinig sa kanya.

I tried calling him but the jerk turned his phone off. Kaya naman ngayon, palibot-libot ako sa campus para hanapin siya. Ang gago, ayaw magpahanap.

"Hoy Martinez! Ang layo ng tingin mo! Kanina pa kita tinatawag, nabibingi ka na ba?"pahayag ni Yana nang harangan niya ako.

"Ha? So-sorry baby. Hinahanap ko kasi si Sven. Have you seen him?"

"Oh, the bestfriend is clueless. Well, sweetie, I called in recently to ask why Ira was absent yesterday. Tita told me she's not feeling well and that she will also not be going to school today. Naisuklay ko ang mga daliri ko sa buhok ko habang iniisip ang bagay na tumatakbo ngayon sa utak ko. Why would Sven ask her out and even officially let Miracle's parents know? At talaga pang kung kailan siya nagtext ng gano'n sa'kin.

Ibinuka ko ang bibig ko ngunit walang salitang lumalabas.

Unang pinuntahan namin ang Hamilton Circle. Baka kinonsenti niya ang kagustuhan ni Ira na matutong mag—stunting. Good thing I was wrong. Wala sila do'n. I know Ira and definitely, my jerk bestfriend. Hindi iyon papayag na pumunta sa isang romantic date. Sven wouldn't do it because we both know Ira doesn't want anything romantic. So where else would he take my babysister to?

"Yana, can you imagine Sven and... and Miracle... in a... you know... uhm... in a romantic context—"

"My bestfriend hates anything romantic and your bestfriend is a complete jerk, but yes. There are sparks. Not all sweet things started with sweet beginnings."
