Lola went through her day slowly whilst attempting to manage her schoolwork and not have a mental breakdown. Anything but that.

Each assignment had more requirements than the next. The numbers slowly began to stress her out. Her eyes blurred until she could only see meaningless blobs.

Lola was ready to yank her jet-black hair out. Her anxiety is getting to her. 

The same old classroom challenged her as if there were eyes bulging out of the walls. She gulped harshly, unable to face it. There is more to this building than learning. It is the heart and core of stress and your timely death, as you drown in the work.

Slowly.

The bell rings.

She turns and walks away, through the front door of the school.
